Good morning Janet. Thanks for the quacker. It’s a chilly morning with little to no sun. Rain is in the forecast for today and tomorrow. I suppose that’s better than snow this time of year but I have a feeling we haven’t seen that last of the white stuff just yet. Enjoy your weekend 💜

Randal, her hubby, told me a way to get home so I could miss the problems so why was I surprised when I found another closed road. It normally takes me just over and hour and a half to get to hers, going took over 2 hours and coming home 1 hour 50 minutes, like I said, I'm getting too old. I suppose she's better at it because it's near where she lives and if she can't use one road she knows how to get round the closures. 

Apart from all of that it was lovely to see her, we may chat on the phone but it's not the same. We finished the puzzle and I might take it to the hall tomorrow.

The weather has been much cooler we're back to 50 again, still at least it's stayed dry and should get warmer by the end of next week.

I think I'd best get myself to bed as I'll be up earlyish to go to the hall, well early for me, about 7.

Hi Janet, OMG I've told Maggie I'm getting too old to cope with the kind of journey I had going to hers. There were the road works where they had single file traffic and lots of traffic lights then when I got past that about 5 miles further on more roadworks where they were putting in a new roundabout. I'd just got my breath back from that and was happily trundling along when I came to a 'Road Closed' sign. Now we are talking about a little road, you'd probably call it a track and I had no idea where I was so I turned around and took the next side road and crossed my fingers. My poor sat nav wanted me to do a U turn but I just kept going. In the end the sat nav took me on a circular tour so that I came to Maggie's from the south rather than the north. It was a nightmare as it took me in to Ipswich a town of over 150,000 that I've never driven through before, with bus lanes in which you are not allowed to drive and so much traffic. By the time I reached her I was a nervous wreck.
