Sandy's friend, Beth, who is in hospice care at a facility, let Sandy know her younger sister, Cindy, passed away. It's such a string of sad things that happened in Beth's life...from the surgery going wrong, leaving her without use of her legs, then the loss of her legs. Her brother, Jay, died after years of drug abuse, her adopted son passed from all sorts of problems, and Cindy, who was a cheerleader at South High School (a year younger than me), passing from a condition similar to Lou Gehrig's disease. Mom went to school with Beth's mother. The South End of Columbus was a tight group back then...families stayed put for the most part. I enjoy it when you tell me about your auntie living so close, etc. Reminds me of the days when I could walk to my Aunt's house and Grandma's house. :) Take care. xxx
