Hi, Michelle! Water breaks are so bad. We've had lots of breaks in our area probably because of the soil, temperature differences, poor equipment (?). We had one in front of our home right before Christmas a couple of years ago. Had to buy bottled water until they told us it was safe to use. While chopping into the area, they broke the pipe for the neighbor across the street. So we both were in the same boat. :( We see so many street repairs when driving around our "Cascata Ancora" neighborhood. I can only hope that new builds take into consideration what happens to water lines out here. We had 2 earthquakes not long after moving in 8 years ago. Now I've noticed a tiny crack in the ceiling that extends nearly to where I'm sitting now. Oh, well...easy fix if one of us is up to it. LOL I just won't look up right now. In my memories this a.m., pictures of Randy from 7 years ago showed up. OMG...he was such an ornery dog. Our neighbors gave us a shocker collar (which I hated to use, but he was into bad things all the time). Mostly he just had it on as a collar, but it makes me feel bad when I see the pictures now. We love him so much! Your two are so cute. It probably seems easier now that Piper is growing up! Truly hope this storm that is approaching such a wide swath of states will not be too bad. Ice is so dangerous. I'd much rather have snow than ice...but then the snow ends up melting and creating icy conditions. No win situation sometimes. Be careful out there!!!! xxx
