Hope you missed all the rain that Cincinnati had  yesterday.   We were watching the Weather Channel on Fox.  Have a good day.  We'll be at 103 today, 105 tomorrow and Friday.  The only good thing about 105 is that we KNOW it will get up to 115...so 105 doesn't sound so bad.  Ha ha ha!  :)  xxx

Hi, Dianne!  How was your weekend?  Most of ours was just fine, except for a period of time last night until I took an Aleve for my arm.  I'm thinking the work I did yesterday caused the area where the Tetanus shot was given to hurt all night long.  Could not sleep at all.  Kept wondering how I would blow dry my hair.     Funny what you think about when in pain!  Hope you had a nice weekend.  How are your plants doing?  The rose bush needs to get more buds, and I can see new growth.  Am nervous about overwatering or underwatering her.  We have fire weather warnings now.  Yesterday Don was going to Coyote Carryout and saw a fire burning near the waterfalls on our golf course!  Scary!  We could use some rain.  Take care!  xx

Hi, Dianne!  Our trip to the doctor yesterday was nutty.  The GPS was taking us around and around in circles on the freeway (not my favorite place).  So Don fixed the zip code that was previously in there....and we finally made it in one piece!  Good news!  Dr. Russ is moving to the Henderson Center Well in a few months....and that will be so much easier than driving to north Las Vegas.  Ugh!  I hadn't stepped on the scales for a while...and had lost 5 lbs.  :)  With clothes ON!  LOLOL  Don keeps the scales in his bathroom.  I can tell by my clothes if I'm ok.  ;)  Anyway, we are going to the Death Valley Marketplace today to pick out some funny gifts for Don's sister Sandy.  She will get a kick out of them.  Already sent her a nice jacket from QVC.  :)  Her b.day is June 13.  I love plants just like you, too!  When I'm outside pruning or planting, it's just like the best day.  :)  Am on Don's computer this morning.  My computer won't let me on facebook.  Do you have to prove you're not a robot when getting there?  They make me click on pictures (crosswalks, buses, motorcycles, etc.) and today it kept taking me from one picture to another and was nearly in tears.  LOL  Very frustrating.  Well...better get myself ready for the day.  Am so happy you are able to enjoy the nice weather now.  Take care!  xxx

Hi, Dianne!  Are you getting interruptions with ads when playing fairyland?  I keep getting an ad from a company wanting to know if they can help me decide what to plant in my garden.  It just pops up whenever it wants.  It's really annoying.  Hope you're not experiencing the same.  Have a good day!!!  xx

Hi, Dianne!  :)  We did have a nice weekend.  Didn't do that much but did move furniture, etc., in the den and Don loves the new look.  He's happy.  Our neighbors with the new pool, had company on Sunday and played music, which was our style.  :)  Relaxing so we sat on the patio and enjoyed ourselves, too.  Rowdy and Diane are so happy with their pool.  I don't want one...not pool person since being in my early teens.  Happy to hear you had a nice cookout at Caroline's.  Since she wasn't up for too much, and the girls helped out, all went smoothly.  I can't imagine Randy doing as well as Lizzy.  He's not been around too much activity.  Things would have turned out better for him if it hadn't been for the pit bulls that lived with Jay and Yolanda across the street.  When their daughter lived with them, they escaped quite a bit and had attacks in front of our house a couple of times.  We protected our Randy...so no walks for him in the neighborhood.  :(  Enjoy your nice weather today.  It will be windy but don't expect anything too bad.  Brush fires have been happening further out from our location, though.  Today we'll mail a birthday card to Don's sister, Sandy.  She turns 81 on June 13th.  She still lives in Lewis Center, Ohio, outside of Columbus.  She's been a great sister-in-law!  The rose bush is still blooming, but it does still look a bit pathetic.  LOL  Take care!  xxx

Hello Dianne, well, I've been feeling kind-of relaxed since leaving the hedgehog rescue, but I've also got lots of other things to worry about at the moment, hey ho! We're having a heatwave here - a week of temps up to 30 degrees (which is 90 for you), which is very hot for the UK in May. I love it though! We got up early yesterday morning and went out looking for cuckoos. We heard lots, which was wonderful! Didn't see any though.
How amazing that your ducks have had 13 and 10 ducklings! Have they all survived so far? They must be such an adorable sight. I hope your weather has warmed up now and your garden is looking lovely. Ours is looking beautiful, and Mark has just planted runner beans as well as the tomatoes, lettuce and garlic that are already growing. Yum!
Best wishes to you. xx

Hi, Dianne!  I'm so glad to hear that Caroline is going to be ok.  So nice of you to help out with meals and the twins!  :)  How nice of you!  Don's sister just had some minor surgery for a uterine problem.  Results came back good.  I feel sorry for those having problems like that.  When I was 27....had an over (chocolate ovary) removed...then a few months later, total hysterectomy.  So glad I was able to have children before all that happened.  Endometriosis.  On hormones until 52 years of age.  And here it is I'm 75 now and still kickin'!  Hope you're having a good weekend.  It's 92 degrees here in Pahrump.  Going out now to water the rose bush.  Luckily it's still blooming...and today the Barrel Cactus bloomed again...and more blooms to come.  Take care & love your feel-good posts.  Makes my day!  xxx
