Hi Liz, hope all is well. We had a busy time , my daughter Amy, came to our home for a visit ! Then my daughter, Caroline and her family came in. My stepdaughter , and my cousins !! Then, we all got a surprise of having the flu!!!! The day after, I had not felt well, and little Claire wasn't well, during the visit . We had a great time , but the little ones being in school , who knows !! I hadn't had the flu for a long time . Flu shots work ,but it was early before offering them for the season !! Even, my daughter Amy teaches college, those germs !! It sounds as though you had a successful gardening season ! I love my tomatoes , my Roma's did not do well, as I like to roast them in the oven with olive oil, and homegrown oregano .then frozen for sauce or soup this winter !! My flowers are looking tired, I saved some seeds from an expensive pink lemonade zinnia. I had an over abundance of them !! Our weather has been cool, but Amy faced 98 degrees in Denver . I love the cooler weather. I hope Miss Millie is being a good girl . I too, hate to see the feathers and remnent sod birds. It is indeed , the balance of nature as my husband reminds me ..... Still do not like it !! Take care ,

Congratulations ! So happy to hear of your prize in the garden competition. I bet it was a sight to behold, I love seeing what ideas people create to make beauty even more beautiful. Lots of work , but our wildlife is so threatened, thank you , for adding to their survival. I bet Miss Millie is happy watching all the different wildlife. Yes, my moms house will be a relief, when it sells! I have lowered the price .. I was in Ohio, managing Charlotte and Claire , the last few days. My daughter works from home doing resumes for people and a job coach. Still, the little girls, had gone to camp. The camp ended and just a gap between school starting . Fun , but a workout for me !!! I went to their first grade open house, with them and their mom and dad. I am amazed at the level the grade involves. It was fun, as I came home to recover !!!! I am thankful to work out everyday, or I would be tired !!! I have written lots, I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend . I always enjoy hearing from you , hugs and love.

Hi Liz! Hope all is well with you . Seems one week turns into another ! I was happy to hear of your Garden event! It is nice though to have others enjoy your work, I bet , it is beautiful . I am glad you can enjoy the garden, reading ! I love to read, never had the time until retirement . My mothers house is still on the market, it will sell, as it only takes one person to buy it !! Our Lizzy is enjoying the summer , laying in the doorways, as we step over her. We do not want to disturb her !!! Speaking of furry family members ,I hope Millie is enjoying her rays of sunlight. What a life, right ? Love and joy to you !!

Yeah that’s right.
We would have caught some of it had we not got involved in watching the tennis!!!
By the time we got out the street was back open. We did go to the field where they had been re-enactments. People were still on the field and we could see wigwam style tents.
They evidently put a lot of effort into the whole event - something to bare in mind for next year I think.
