Hi Shirley,  How are you?  I saw the ortho dr yesterday and he did an ultrasound on my wrist. He thinks I will need a surgery to release the tendon sheath (it's a very simple outpatient procedure) but of course you have to go through all the hoops and protocols.  So he gave me a cortisone shot, which at least has reduced the pain, although he doesn't think it will be permanent.  I'd rather have gone straight to the surgery but....... health insurance being what it is, you have to do as they say.  at least I am in less pain for now and to check back in 3 months time.   Here in the US they keep trying to move us onto "daylight savings time" permanently, but it hasn't happened yet.  I do love the longer evenings in summer but I also like the cozy winter evenings when it's dark by 4:30, so I would be fine with keeping things as they are.
