Hello, how are you today? Are you off for Christmas? It will just be the 2 of us on Christmas Day but we are having the family for a meal on Christmas Eve. I am pretty organised now, posted my cards today & all the presents are wrapped except for Colins & his Mums which I am waiting to get delivered. Tesco colleagues get 20% off this week so I am trying to make space in the freezers before doing a big grocery shop. I am trying to build a Christmas tree all one colour - I chose gold - but am finding it quite hard as I keep getting different colours of baubles etc & having to discard them. I have seen gardens with 3 or 4 different trees, each tree all one colour & think they are so pretty x

She will prob always have the Prozac but hopefully not the prednisone. It’s such a small amount now it’s really nothing but you know

Hi Carol, 15 days into the holiday calendar  and I'm getting the same winter wildlife all the time. I've never had a cardinal or a pygmy mouse. It seems to be white mice, field mice and robins x

I spent a lot of money on all sorts of clothing like cat suits etc. so she couldn’t do it. But she would just roll over fall over on her side when I put them on her and look at me like “take this off me mom” lol

My vet worked so hard. Ruling out ear mites or mites in general. Ruling out allergy. Trying the prednisone tablet every day. Which did help for awhile then she started again so she added the Prozac w the prednisone which worked. But trying to wean off the prednisone.

Isn’t that something that both your black cat and mine over groomed?

No Sheba is fine now! Has all her hair. I just firgot to tell you before the Prozac we tried two kittens which didn’t work. No diet change worked no food change worked nothing worked till finally my vet did the liquid Prozac and the prednisone combo.
She’s know on a half prednisone every third day (trying weaning her off) and the liquid Prozac once a day

Yes when Sheba was over grooming she had bald patches all over. It was a long sad riad. All fine now tho.

Yes our own vet says the same when we saw her after it happened. The emergency vet wasn’t our own vet. Our vet said she might have still had issues even if she had been able to see his body and say goodbye.

So now we have three days and everything is good. Just the liquid Prozac for her

Ty it was so horrible

Before the Prozac we even tried getting her two kitten, brothers again, one orange and white and one full black   It helped for a mos then she went right back to over grooming

I lost my Hershey , a Havana brown , chocolate  brown in colou that we adopted along w his sister (completely black) from a local rescue, they were just babies prob 4 mos ? I can’t remember.
They can from a hoarding situation we were told. We knew Hershey had a heart murmur but the vet said he was fine and they both had check ups every year ,

He was only three when he had saddle thrombosis (I think it was called) in the middle of the night   We didn’t know what was going on but he suddenly was meowing and not moving. His back legs didn’t work and his back feet were cold to the touch. Rushed to the emergency vet at 0200 and within the hr he was euthanized at the vets recommend.

It was very hard and his sister had no idea what happened and then she developed anxiety within a few mos and started over grooming.
Sorry long story
The vet ruled out any medical possibility and it ended up straight anxiety. We took her brother away and he never came back.
She’s on liquid Prozac now and her hairs all grown back. Sigh 😞

Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner Carol. My chronic back pain has doubled up this week but I'm sure that's nothing compared to your really rough year.! Hope you are now on the mend Sending hugs xx
