Hi Evelyn, I suppose we'll have to sit and wait for these cataracts to get worse. What caused me more problems when I had the ulcer was it was in my right eye which is my stronger eye, my left being my weaker, so I couldn't see very well. It made me realise how much my right eye compensates my left eye. When your step father had shingles, do you remember if he had a headache that wouldn't go? Before the rash appeared, for about 4/5 days before I had a headache on the right side of head. I took painkillers and it wouldn't shift. I thought it was strange to have the pain on one side instead of across my forehead, but, never thought it could be any sort of illness x

Hi Evelyn, it was awful. I also lost my appetite and lost only a little bit of weight, that was the only good thing about it. I had to stay in hospital overnight because my eye and had to keep going to Chelsea and Westminster hospital eye clinic. I can sympathise with your step father, it does seem as though he was worse than me. I can't be vaccinated until  I'm 65, only 4 months to go. I'm so  scared of getting it again. Thank you, I thought I would have Hala for many years yet. I do miss her and thank you it's good to be back xx

2. Gregor’s been retired coming up to 2 years so it’ll be nice that we can just go away when we want because at the moment I always seem to be at work which is not what I want tbh. I want part time not 40  hours a week. I’ll miss the people but my love for my job has faded as has my respect and like for my boss. So 11 years is enough.

I’m looking forward to xmas which seems to have snuck up on me this year 😂 Cameron is back home now anyway and Mimi will come back in 2 weeks sp that’ll be lovely.

We go away on Thursday until next week so I must remember to open my calendar 😊

I’ve abandoned the chicks until a later date. I was just too busy to hunt for them and my heart wasn’t in it. At least they just go into storage like you say

I love xmas in FL too and never tire of it either. The only thing I build are xmas trees, I like to see if I can get all the same colour trees, not easy but a work in progress.

I opened up yesterday and then forgot all about my garden so didn’t even open my advent calendar lol. I’ve got to get back in the habit again.

We’re all ok here, thanks. I’m having to work December, Jan and Feb as they changed my work schedule without telling me and I only found out in October. I’m not happy at all about it and have been thinking about leaving for a while so I’m going to finish next summer. I have holidays booked and days out planned so now I have to try and fit it all in but I refuse to change anything.

Hi Evelyn, l am not too well atm with chronic tummy trouble. Normally l can cope but when stressed it is difficult. My brother is very poorly in hospital and my sis is very poorly too . I hope all is well with you and the family xxx

Hi Evelyn, we go to Spain most years in December and every year I say I’m going to be finished before I go but it never happens. So I spend all my time worrying when we are away about how much I have to do once I get back. I’m super organised this year so I haven’t got to worry. I’ve finished my Christmas shopping, the decorations are up except for the real tree which will go up the week after next. We are going to Spain on the 14th December. I’ve even done my food shopping, the frozen stuff anyway, I’ll get the fresh stuff when we are back.
I’ve decided to the easy quest again but I need to attract the Yellow Wagtail but my plant won’t be ready until tomorrow evening. I’ll have a chance to do the quest a couple more times by the 3rd when it closes.
It’s warmed up here, thank goodness as it was soooo cold last week. I don’t do the cold very well lol. I prefer the spring and summer. Spring is my favourite time of year when all the daffodils are out and the trees start sprouting.
I’m not doing much today apart from wrapping a few presents. I even posted my cards on Thursday. I don’t send many these days apart from the people I don’t see.

Hi Evelyn, l am happy all is done in the kitchen too. Hubby in times gone by was very quick , with decorating. Of course now he at his age (approaching 80) takes longer to do it and not quite as accurate as he would like. Thats where the youngest comes in . Both my boys are good at DIY. But only the youngest has free time to come and help now. My hubby like yours was always doing things for family and friends. Our friends and neighbours now do some  things to help us , we only have to ask. We were out with them last night for our anniversary, they took us out into the country , to a pub/restaurant. The meal was super, l struggled to eat all mine, but what l managed to eat l enjoyed it immensely. The weather here was dry for most of the day, and the fog was quite heavy as we reached the countryside hills in the early evening. Have a good day Hun. Love and Hugs xxx
