Hi Ginger! I have not been around FL much, I want to get back at when it was only a fun game to play just once a day.
Prefer to use my time for something more useful.
Last year I took to re-study french, and russian. I had some improvements but don't get many chances to talk so now I want to start again and be more consistent. Brain needs to keep active :)

Have you been to some other event?
The new season at theatres is starting soon; I love dance and musicals but it seems I have seen already most of the scheduled shows. Many are worth watching again but prices have rocketed so will have to pick carefully ;))

Hope your weekend is going well :))

I guess because you’re paying for it, you get sedation. We get a very mild amount in the arm & that’s it. Never been in pain, slight discomfort is all. My son, they banded his piles without sedation & he was on gas & air. That was barbaric. He’s now waiting for op to remove them. Don’t envy him that. Both my colonoscopies thry found 1 polyp & decided I didn’t need them on a regular basis. I have heard of folks who have them like you & family members have been found the same, so it is a good thing.
It’s a bit of a dilemma with the Covid booster, did we only have it milder than had we not had any boosters, we’ll never know. They’ve pumped so much into us have we gone too far. I don’t know. I will probably change my mind & get it with the flu jab lol.
A shame you were unwell & couldn’t fully enjoy your trip here. Hope you’ll come again & visit more places. More to see than London & Liverpool lol. I know you’ve been elsewhere m but try further North, the Yorkshire Moors & Dales.  We’re heading to Whitby tomorrow for a meet up with friends & an overnight stay. The birthplace, or rather where the idea for Xracula came from. A beautiful little seaside town.
When this lot of food runs out, I’m off until think pink returns in October. Catch you then Ginger. Take care & tell that nurse about those ice creams lol xx

I’ve had a couple of colonoscopies, the procedure was never an issue, but that awful stuff you take to clean you out is the worst.   I have read a few comments from people in the States who were all pleased they were asleep. Are you put to sleep for a lot of procedures? We’re awake for knee & hip replacements. I would like to be asleep when the time comes to get my cataracts done as I can lie on my back & you have to be so still. Will see when the time comes. A friend of mine is obsessed with meditation as she’s never needed anything & doesn’t take it unless she’s desperate. She’s convinced our doctors are well paid by the drug companies to get as many folks onto stuff as is possible. She fought because she felt the new,y given cholesterol tablets have given her all sorts of side effects. She can stay off it a month but will need a blood test before finding out if she needs to go back on it. Considering they doubled the dose after 2 months, I can see her back on it in a couple of weeks.. be time for our flu jabs soon & the Covid booster. We’re deciding if we should get that one. Had Covid twice, the second time was way worse than the first, so does the booster help or not? It takes years to develop safe vaccines yet they managed to get one very quickly for Covid. A bit worrying 🤔 xx

The way our health service is going, we’ll all end up paying again. You can cut the waiting time if you have the money & get the treatment you need. I know your medical bills can be absolutely huge, eye watering even. We’ll all need insurance, good job we’re the age we are, it’s going to be hard for our grandchildren & their families etc.
My husband had his bloods taken for his diabetes check. He’s managed it by diet only for over 15 years. I think he’ll end up on meds next week when he has his call to discuss results, as he’s seen the high score.   His Auntie was diabetic & stuck to a diet religiously, she still lived to her mid 90’s but she had a miserable life for years as she wouldn’t move an inch from her strict regime.
I didn’t know you’ve lost some of your intestines, you’ve been through it haven’t you. That’s another issue my daughter has, no warning, she has to go.  Luckily, for complicated reasons, her office for the time being is in a 4 bedroom house on the hotel site. She’s actually in the main bedroom with en suite, so she’s lucky there. Very bizarre & long story but she’s glad she’s where she is.

My Mum was lucky to fall pregnant with me as she obviously lost the ovary with the cyst on.
When she had her hysterectomy, she was in theatre way longer as her remaining ovary was wrapped around her bowel. Thry obviously left that in so she didn’t go straight into menopause as it would have been too early in her early 30’s.
She went through so much that I feel it’s skipped a generation & poor Lauren is copping for everything. So unfair for her xxx

Oh, Ginger, I can’t imagine that pain with the d&C at the surgery. My tummy is turning.  My daughter has had sumitripan in tablet form, not sure what she’s on now as a preventative but it’s not working. She can’t have beta blockers due to her asthma. She’s stopped her immunotherapy meds as it’s all too much for her to cope with.  The migraines run down my side of the family. My Mum suffered but Lauren has beaten her by far. I had them every month but since menopause, just have the occasional one. Mum had an ovarian cyst the size of a grapefruit removed A hysterectomy aged 32, hence just me.  The health service here is failing rapidly now. You have to fight for surgery. Even removing tonsils, which were run of the mill, have been cut right back. I hope her cyst does shrink. She needs to push for referral when she sees the doctor. She’s not had a good run of health for a good few years. She’s amazing to cope with a stressful job & run the home. Although her boys are good, hubby great cook & does the laundry. They all pitch in when she’s unwell, but it must seem at times that she’s always poorly. Who’d be a woman lol.
I still can’t sit in the back of a car for long, soon feel sick. What are we like lol. Xx

Thanks Ginger.
Unfortunately her ovarian cyst is 2cms in size & they don’t remove until they’re 4cm or bigger. I don’t know how large fibroids have to be. She just needs it all out. She sees the doctor on the 10th, I hope he refers her to hospital as I think they need to look at all her issues & help her. The migraines are almost constant now for her poor thing.
I’m struggling with a nasty middle ear infection. Was so sick Friday night, room spinning for 4 hours. I think it was made worse as I had to wait the weekend out before I could see a doctor.   We have an out of hours service, but trying to see someone is hopeless. I got antibiotics yesterday. Still a bit dizzy & nauseous but ear does feel a tad better 🤞. Lauren came to sit with me on Saturday while hubby was out. What a pair, she fell asleep she was so tired & recovering from the migraine of the night before. We both need new bodies lol xx

Hi!!! Wow! Concert must have been great, right?
I used to be obsessed with Tommy the musical when I was a kid. Don't know how many times I watched it. Still love it!!! :))

Health issues can impact so much on our lives. You have struggled for many years. My daughter is the same & gets so fed up & frustrated. Some times her days are full of despair & I don’t know what to do to help her. Her hubby & sons are amazing & give her the strength to get through the tough days. I don’t blame you, enough is enough.    I’m sure Paul Mc Cartney has got you over bad days with his music ❤️

Hi Ginger! Hope you are doing well :)
Weather got totally ruined, temperatures dropped and it's raining again. I do feel unwell, as always during season changes, and is really to soon for summer to be over:((
