Just got some paint to refresh windows and doors, will have to wait cause it should be raining for the next days starting tonight, and I want to be sure paint will dry fast! Also think I need to plan this thing better and be sure I am not going to make it worst lol

My daughter is hoping to do the Beatles things on Sunday, the ferry across the Mersey, think she might be in for a bit of disappointment there lol. Especially if it’s as drab as it’s been for over a week.
Isn’t James a great name? Mine gets tired easily but he’s still way better, so he’s getting there xxx

James has recovered quickly once he got off the morphine, which is a relief. He’s managed to be well enough for a long arranged golf tournament 🙄. He’s using a buggy. Says no more pain, but still needs recovery time. He’ll be shattered after golf, but the fresh air will do him good.
Oh, I’m on too many meds, insurance if we go abroad is always much higher than hubby’s lol.
Liverpool is on. They’re going to look round the Liverpool footy stadium, a present for youngest Grandson. The men are doing that & my daughter & daughter in law are shopping. Hubby wasn’t pleased to discover he’d rather support Liverpool than his team, Sunderland lol. He bought the boys season tickets when they moved back here & still hasn’t rubbed off lol.   There’s been no footy for a month but back up there today. The dog will be sulking lol. The first time he’ll get home in the dark. The long dark nights have begun. Roll on Spring lol xxx

I think my son has turned a corner thankfully. Now he’s off the morphine, he’s feeling better. Still a way to go but it’s a start at least. A lot of people can’t take strong pain meds, I can’t take anti inflammatory meds as they cause havoc with my stomach. We’re all different aren’t we. He’s been signed off work for 2 weeks but he can work from home in the meantime. He has been doing a bit as the days are long for him, especially with his wife working from home upstairs. They’ve never been together at home for this long lol. They’re counting the days until things are back to normal. They’re supposed to be going to Liverpool with my daughter & family next weekend. That’s a bit to go yet, sure he’ll be much better by then 🤞 xx

Thank you Ginger. He’s slowly getting there. He doesn’t like the morphine, it’s making him worse. He’s only taking it if pain is really bad & thankfully things are better, even just a bit, each day. Once he’s taken it all, he’s not wanting to get any more & will try on just paracetamol & ibuprofen.

I hope the storms aren't too bad ginger. And your okay. Our Charlie isn't 12 until the 2nd of January.  I was back at the doctors yesterday. He's sending me for more Xrays focusing more on my feet. He thinks I need steroid or cortisone injections to help with inflammation and pain. It's like sharps cracking goes through my feet into my toes to the stage where I nearly fall. The joys of life eh!

Whit y was as busy as ever, still pulling the tourists in. A few shops had closed for the season but we have one finall school holiday coming up so they’ll get plenty of trippers that week. The seas gulls are huge lol. All that swooping the fish & chips 🤣.
Tired today, so a quiet day. My son had his op yesterday so will be laid up for a few weeks. It’ll do him good to rest as he never stops. He’ll be missing his golf bless him lol. Have a great Thursday xxx

Hi Ginger! I don't even know how I managed to grow that pumpkin, lots of private gardens and way too much competition spotting halloween critters.
Just finished arranging my halloween decorations on the entrance shelf, bought a black see-trough curtain to put right in front of the door, and added some pumpkin string lights. Love it!
Still taking remedies for stomach, both me and my cat; I am giving her smaller portions of food and she's not complaining ;))

Hi Ginger
We’re heading to Whitby tomorrow, to meet up with another friend. It’s a very traditional English seaside town, just gorgeous. We went there on our first date, so a special place in our hearts. The fresh seas air should perk me up lol.  I have written the Christmas cards & wrapped presents this afternoon. It’s easier to wrap as I get them. The thought of looking at a huge pile to start fills me with dread lol. Fun fact: Whitby is the place Bram Stoker got the idea to write Dracula. He lived there for a while. They have fabulous Goth weekends throughout the year. Great fun but so busy. Another one will be here around Halloween 🎃 xx
