Hi Maria. It was a journey to get there, a rail replacement bus service and all that, but was there an hour before the start with a 'busy' tummy, and then ran a course pb of 20.42! Previous best was 20.44, so i will take that! Its the 4th Weybridge race and my 4th medal so a little collection going on/ I will have to try and find the others :-)

Rain is forecast for much of this week but promises of dryness on wednesday morning so i can put in a 6 miler before work.

I ran the parkrun today in 21.50. i was drizzle rain so opted for the slower trail shoes for grip on the grass which was sensible. Had to stop to tie up a lace or would have been under 7 ,o=ins/mile.

resting this afternoon before Weybridge 5k tomorrow. A long way to go for a 21 min run. But we love a medal :-)

treating myself to a new rucksack for work which should arrive tomorrow.

The Topiaries? You have no idea!! I have actually quite enjoyed doing them but it's the players that make (and break!) you. I have met some amazing ladies who have gone out of their way to help and there are others who are just feral!!! And they would (in my opinion) be virtually impossible to do without babysitting your garden. Not long now and we'll be doing the Fairytales 😉

well i am back at work and tired as i never sleep well on a sunday before work. Tomorrow it will rain but i am going out anyway as have 2 runs at the weekend and just want to get it done. I hope it will have eased by 4.30pm as the rest of the week is rain! Mini heatwave over. we can all go back to being British and moaning about grey skies lol

well ive been out for 6 miles, 3 good hills, and fed the cats who were purring in delight when i arrived with chicken Dreamies :-)

gosh Battersea was rammed - so many runners and so hot. I'm going to do an add up. I was 17th / 125 in 20.46 and with less runners that was definitely much quicker. I was zig-zagging round people. But my lovely mate Malcolm tuned up and that was lovely

you will get back to it i am sure.

tomorrow is Battersea 5k. I was fast there in April so will go for it tomorrow. A late start at 11.11am so plenty of sleep and time to wake up. I have done the weeklend shop so all good. Can relax a bit tomorrow.

the thing about doing a bbq on a sunday and drinking prosecco, then pimms, then wine during the afternoon, is that i passed out last night (nytol induced) and slept for over 10 hours. Woke up too late to run, so did a big shop and planted up our little balcony and ditched the rubbish, then sat in the hot sun (34C) and read a book for a couple of hours.

2 more days of this heat then it drops below 30...
