This time in 2 weeks all going well I will have pushed myself through a mental and physical barrier of epic proportions

so i went an jogged 9.6 miles before breakfast today. Very slow pace for me but I did start 40 minutes after waking up and on one coffee with a  energy gel and bottle of macha tea for refuelling. And actually feel ok today!

saw the physio lady at the docs today. I have 'silent' arthritis in the knee, so its there and causing issues but doesnt hurt too much, something called Calcification, and probably tore my meniscus.
On a bonus note I can work from home next 3 days due to strike on the underground, and then proper classwork at the weekend. I will get a couple of runs in!

ah thanks for your kind words. I was aching like mad today so went out again and put 7.9 miles on the clock at 8.10 p/mile pace, which is about a minute a mile slower than my normal training runs. I will work on speed again next month. This is all about long slow runs this month.

i survived! I was sensible and jogged so slowly i wasnt even out of breath at the end, so a full 5 MINUTES slower over 5k than usual in 25.42, then i jogged home, went to the barbers, bus into Kingston to but new Sketchers trainers and visit a beer and sausage festival, and now home for a plate of slow-cooked chilli. Not a bad day really :-)

thanks sweetheart, fingers crossed. Just had a very naughty dinner and too much wine as wifey is out tonight. Mind you I have also washed, dried and ironed 2 loads of washing in 4 hours! So a clear weekend now :-)

had 2 x-rays yesterday and await results. may need a scan. whether i can complete a gentle 25k walk in 8 days time is for me to decide on the day. might be crazy and make it worse.

Hiya. I volunteered at Parkrun today and scanned barcodes and token s for the runners. Not run in 13 days as knee is sore, docs on Tuesday. Im going to ask for a scan.
