Correction, the coffee shop in Inlet*

On our way back from Lake Placid last Thursday we stopped in Eagle Bay/Old Forge to do a little shopping and grab a coffee at Blue line Coffee. Larry sat at a table while I was waiting for our order…it’s a really tiny coffee shop and it was too cold to sit outside. I sat down and Larry leaned in and said he thought that the man sitting literally right behind me…no room to spare… looked like Billy Baldwin. I tried to casually turn around but I failed at that🥴🤦🏻‍♀️. Sure enough it was Billy. I think Jacqueline was there along with maybe Jean and her husband. I’m not sure about the girls but it was Billy for sure. The man sitting on the couch facing us who I think was Jeans husband  called him Billy and asked him about a movie he was in. I was going to say hi to Jacqueline, but I didn’t because I wasn’t sure that it was her and I haven’t seen her in a long time so I’m not sure if she would have even recognized me. It’s funny too, the barista looked just like a younger version of Beth. Such a small world.

The fair and back to school are coming quick. I can’t believe how fast the summer went by. We don’t go to the fair…we are not fans so we opt out. Nothing says summer is over like the fair fast approaching. Billy used to come into the store frequently and talk with Jim…and me. The dew points should be coming down this afternoon when a cold front rolls through. The heat doesn’t bother me as I’m always cold but the humidity is just uncomfortable feeling. It’s going to be another hot weekend. Our air conditioners haven’t gotten much of a break this summer!!

Glad you had a good time. Larry is on vacation the last week of August and we are going up to Lake Placid for a few days…the 26th, 27th and the 28th. I hope we have good weather…not to hot and no rain. I’m ready for Fall. I’m over the hot and humid days. We wait all winter for nice weather so we can open the windows and get outside in the sun but this spring/summer has really been yucky. So rainy to start and now so hot that you can’t even go outside to enjoy unless you are around water and can’t open windows because we have the air on…. Bring on Fall!!

It was a short hike in that loops around to Sis and Bubs Lake. There’s a deck with benches and there were people on that with a dog. There were 2 women on the beach with a dog but I tried to keep them out of my shot. I hope the smoky haze is gone and the air quality improves before your weekend trip. It was very hazy in Old Forge and Inlet this weekend…much worse than it was here. The sky is so eerie looking, reminds me of 2 years ago. I’m glad that you are at the tail end of buying out your lease, everything is always a difficult process but it will be nice to not have to turn in and lease every few years, I used to dread that 😩. The 6 story treehouse is at Cayuga Nature Center. It’s not far from Taughannock Falls. The kids really liked it and had fun. Liam made friends with 3 boys that were there. They were running around playing tag in the tree house. When do you leave for the ADK. We haven’t been up there since last August when we rode the rail bikes.

That sounds like something the kids would like to do. We took them to Howe Caverns last year and they really enjoyed it. When we finished the tour they got their bag and did their mining!! They were so proud of their treasures!!

Hi Kathy.  I think I remember you going to The Eternal Flame Waterfall. We are taking the kids on Friday. I know to bring a lighter because the flame seems to be out more often than not from my research. Is there any other tips or advice you can give or anything I should know?

Sunday is supposed to be very hot and humid, perfect day to go to the movies and enjoy the air conditioning. One of our favorite coffee shops is located in Tully…Bloomin Cup. If you have time stop to get a coffee to enjoy on the deck…I highly recommend. Is Beth staying with you for the weekend or is she just in for the day? What fun sissy things do you have planned? Supposed to rain this afternoon, I hope it does for the sake of our grass. It needs water regardless, it’s starting to turn brown in spots. Hard to believe just a few weeks ago we were water logged!! I’m glad Michaela is doing well. Sounds like she married into a really nice family that will more than make up for having a shitty Mom. Thank Goodness She got out of what could’ve been a completely different story for her. It’s sad that Jennifer is going to miss out on all the things. I guess she can’t blame anyone but herself. What a weird weather day it is. Looks like rain and then it’s sunny. The guy came to put grub killer on our lawn today. He comes 4 times a year doing fertilizer, weed killer, grub control and flea and tick prevention. Now I need it to rain Friday morning. Says on the paper to heavily water lawn in 2 days to ensure grub control saturation. Now that I want it to rain it won’t. 🤪
