we are all safe here.  the prairies, Alberta, Saskatchewan & Manitoba all have the devestating wild fires.  brings back watching LA's wild fires last year.   flipping scarey so many people have to be evacuated from their homes.      How are you and the family doing?    Last time we chatted, years ago lol, you had just 2 grandsons?         

Karen Baker, she lives in Mattydale. I noticed she was from Syracuse one day last year when I was watering so I told her I was from there too. She gave me her name and said if I liked I could friend request her. Her daughter works for Alex Abdo. She told me last week that I had some mutual friends of her daughter so I looked her up and saw she worked at the law firm.

It has been so cold. Saturday was nice but Sunday was miserable. The kids had makeup games at different times. I thought Layne’s game was cold at 11:00 but Liam’s game at 3:00 topped it. It was so cold with a misty rain. I was shivering most of the day Sunday. They each had a game last night at the same time. Luckily the fields are next to each other so we hangout in between them. I’ll bet the mountain laurel was beautiful. I always feel that traveling by car is tiring even though I’m not the one driving. Just sitting there is exhausting to me. I’m glad you got the Airbnb worked out. I hope Mikaela had a good weather for her special day!!💜

I can understand that because I am the total opposite of you when it comes to traveling. I hate to travel and try to avoid it as much as possible. I don’t want to go anywhere ever. 🥴 when I started bringing stuff from our old house up here to put away I really had to think about what made the most sense for placement. I do wish I had more drawers though. I prefer them to a cabinet even though I think they are not as practical because you are setting things on top of each other…kind of like a deep freezer, the stuff on the bottom gets forgotten. Oh well, it will be nice to have a brand new kitchen and if you are like me you won’t want to cook anything in the beginning because you want it to stay all shiny and new…lol. Safe travels!!💜

I’m glad you had a nice Easter with Beth. How long are you there for? It will be fun buying baby girl cloths!!  The babies are close in age…almost like having twins. Elle pronounced L or is it pronounced Ellie? Are you going to the cape from Beth’s or are you you going home first? Hopefully no more snow in our forecast until winter!!

I’ve been meaning to ask you the past few days….did Laura have the baby yet? I’m not sure when she Wawa’s due so I might be far off.

I guess April Fool’s has been on you this year. I’ll bet Jim wasn’t happy about his truck being towed. I’m glad Mikaela is doing well. She must be excited for her big day!! Does Jennifer know she’s getting married? Today was a beautiful day. It was 71 the last time I looked just before dinner. We had thunderstorms and lightning roll through about 4am. It was coming down in buckets…washing away all of the winter ick.  Today was the last nice day for the next couple of weeks.  Cold and snow in the forecast for this weekend and all next week. Oh no…lol. Happy April Fool’s 🥴😂.  It was freezing today!! Thursday is going to be warm and rainy and then back to winter for all next week with snow…ugh!!!

Larry is working from the same area…kind of. He had his own garage and office that is in the same place as the police department and the electric department. He clocks in at the same place and he always took all his coffee breaks over with the electric guys in their break room. Being the mechanic he worked with all the departments…the highway, the police and the electric along with the rest of the village. His mechanics pay actually came from the electric department. Really the only change is he doesn’t have his own space anymore and obviously his job title and description. He knows all the guys. He had a good first day…says there’s lots to learn. Have a safe trip back home. It got up to 67 degrees this morning and it’s 38 now. I have a feeling it’s going to be a cold wet spring…ugh. Packing and unpacking is one of the reasons I hate traveling…along with sleeping in a bed that so many others slept in🤮🤮🤮 and being away from home because I am a true homebody. I hope you have good weather on your way back up the coast…be safe💜

Are you still in Florida?  We started out mild this morning with the temperature in the low 60’s but it’s going to drop and be cold all week and next. There is snow in the forecast for tonight 😩. Larry starts his new job today with the electric department as their new assistant electrical maintenance worker. It’s a higher pay rate which will help with retirement. He started with the village in his early 40’s…he was 43 so he’s been trying to play catch up. This job will be easier on his body where as the mechanic position wasn’t. The guy he’s replacing is retiring at the end of April so he will be training under him for the next month. The guy above him is a good friend of his and they will work well together. I’m a little nervous though because he will be working with high voltage at the sub station. It won’t be an everyday thing but when needed it will be part of his job. He also gets 6 months of standby time. There has been talk about the move since last summer when the guy he’s replacing was talking about retiring. The boss approached him and asked if he would be interested. Then he didn’t hear anything for awhile until about a month ago. We went to the board meeting last week a
