I’m Going To Make a Fairy House 🏡

Fairies like to move about,
From their world to our own.
And when they come to visit ours,
I want them to have a home.

So I’m going to make a fairy house,
A place for them to stay.
I want it to be snug and warm
When winter comes our way.

I think I’ll use an old dried gourd
And cut a hole to make the door.
Then I’ll use some cotton
To make a nice, soft floor.

Then I’ll make some little beds
So they’ll have a place to sleep,
And on their beds, soft pillows
To lay their heads and dream.

Fairies don’t like being watched,
So I’ll hang the house in a tree—
Far enough away
So only I can see.

Then from the window of my room,
In the darkness of the night,
I can watch them twirl and dance
In glittering fairy flight.

I hope the fairies like their home.
I hope they’ll want to stay,
For nothing is as beautiful
As watching fairies play.

My Unicorn Friend

The raindrops had stopped falling on that cool summers' day,
The sun was thawing the clouds away.
When suddenly from behind the rainbow in a silvery haze,
I stared in awe; I couldn't help but gaze.

Something magnificent in gentle flight
Came drifting down like snow in the night.
Something magical with eyes shining bright,
With a sturdy horn, and a mane of pure white.

I gazed at this vision or was it a dream,
Was it a Unicorn, could it have been?
A mythical creature we've all heard of,
