Hi Keith- how are things with you?  I've had high blood pressure for years, but it was always controlled with two meds, one being a diuretic. About 6 months ago, I developed gout and the diuretic can contribue to that, so we stopped that drug, but since then it's been a struggle to get the BP under good steady control.  It just suddenly got worse, but being in pain a lot (from gout and also tendonitis in my wrist) can elevate blood pressure and then being anxious about THAT makes it go higher, so I got caught in a loop- anyway, I have a new med added and reassurances from my dr that I am not about to have a stroke, so hopefully it will all clear up soon.
