You HAVE been there for your mom and you can't run yourself ragged trying to keep her appeased. She will be needy during the adjustment period, but just like with kids, she'll push you and test you with demands and guilt tripping. She will be fine.  If she has dementia like not remembering talking with you, then she'll move on to another thought shortly. Please just relax and try to enjoy a quiet weekend.
