Good afternoon, Susan. Larry and I haven’t gotten the shingles vaccine yet. We both are very interested in getting it but I worry about getting sick or like in your case getting a rash. They say it’s not a live virus so you can’t get shingles but you saying they think the rash is a delayed reaction makes me think otherwise. We are not big on vaccines. We don’t get the flu shot every year like most do. I don’t have issues with taking a medication if truly needed but I am more of a holistic person. I prefer to get what I need through food and or supplements whenever possible. I will be 60 next week and as I get older I’ve changed my mind somewhat about the shingles vaccine. I probably will get that one. Did you have any other issues after the second dose? I’ve heard some get sick…general fatigue, achy, and just feeling run down. I just had a physical last month and we talked about it. She said if I decide to get it I can just call the office and set up an appointment. I am almost done with my easy pottery lottery for January. I just need to attract one more magpie and golden dragon to my garden. We are having a bit of a warm up this week. Finally woke up to my car NOT being encased in  snow! Hope the drive isn't too icy as I'm hoping to run to the IGA today. Amanda has a sore throat and body aches, so I imagine that will cancel the visit.
I'm OK with that, as I'd rather not get sick. Between her job and the 3 girls in school, she has a lit if exposure to bugs going around.
I'm pretty.firm in my decision to let M be. I appreciate that he came over with the best of intentions,.but didn't take much for him to spiral down. I think he does need to just be quiet and regroup.

Hello Susan. We are still cold and getting snow. It finally stopped so hopefully no more for today. We just got a dusting since this morning. I made my appointment for my mammogram this morning. I was surprised when she said she had this Wednesday or Thursday. I thought it was going to be a few weeks before I could get in. I took the Thursday appointment. I had to call my GP so they could send over a script for it to be done. I find it easier to make the appointment myself and call to have the script faxed over. If I let my doctor set it up sometimes the appointment doesn’t work for me and I have to call and change it. I always get nervous before the appointment so at least I don’t have many days to stress over it. Even though it’s just routine and I have no issue or reason for concern I still get worried. I guess it’s in my nature. I hope you are enjoying your day and that Sayde is doing well today.  Sending love and hugs 💜

Oh, yes! Nicknames are a must! We had a doxie/beagle mix named Linus who passed a number of years ago. He was a handful, but what a character. I would get a dox in a heartbeat. My pets always seem to find their way to my house without me going and and seeking them though! We recently lost one of our kitties. He was 18 years old when he passed so it has a hard loss. We have four cats and a big black lab now.

We worked on the car for 2 hours!
After digging and de-icing, Mike managed to move the car forward about 2 feet, but the tires were spinning on ice. We put down old rugs and cat litter....nothing.  she's stuck. Dinner was good (yes, homemade pea soup) but was quite quiet. I asked him what was bothering him and he said he was upset that he couldn't move the car and it made him feel like less of a man. Jeez! Tried to jolly him out of it, but since he's battling depression,  nothing I could do.
Stayed til 10pm. Glad I could see him and assess his demeanor for myself. Yes, it's snowing from 7pm til 10am Monday.  Will be expecting Ron at some point. If nothing else works,  at least there's a thaw coming! Please keep me posted about what the  Doc says about the rash. Off to join you in Dreamland,  Bestie.

Good morning, Susan. I hope you had a nice New Year’s Day. I’m glad Ed was able to come home. Larry just headed off to work after 2 weeks off. He wasn’t to happy about it. He said he didn’t sleep well, he was waking up a lot…probably anticipating his alarm going off. We have been spoiled, the girls have been lazy and letting us sleep in. How is Sayde feeling? We went to the cemetery yesterday to get the wreaths we put on my Mom’s and Aunt & Uncle’s grave. They are located at the top of a hill and must’ve got a lot of drifting snow because my Mom’s was mostly buried and my Aunt and Uncle’s was partially buried. We have another lake effect storm heading our way. The perks of living in the north east if you like snow!! The weather has been crazy all over the country that’s for sure. Do you have a lot of snow on the ground right now? My garden is set up for the easy pottery lottery for January in case you are in need of any of those critters. Enjoy your Friday. New years Sprinkle for our Sweeties! I completely forgot about fairyland last night. Spoke with Laura til 1130 and then my friend, Kathy as we 2 widows see the new year in together on the phone. Short message from M.
Our high today is 14° & I'm concerned for the gas pig. I'm sure it's going to be a struggle to make my way over there, but it's making me anxious. Did you all have a nice new year's eve? Anything special planned for today? I'm going to have my coffee, do fairyland visits, then head out to the pig. Yes, I'll bring my phone!
Still need to dig my car out at some point. I'm sure the doors are still frozen shut. Arrrrgh winter!!!
