Wednesday Sprinkle for our Sweeties!  I looked up.the okra plants last night...I wanted to sew how those pods grew. They really do have lovely flowers and are from the hibiscus family! I always enjoyed when Patrick ordered new seeds of something we're unfamiliar with. One year,.he had about 5 different varieties of winter squash,  other than our usual acorn and butternut. It sure was fun waiting to see those squash mature! One was as big as a pumpkin and was grayish blue & warty, bright orange flesh and delicious! I'll do a final sweep of the yard today. I sure hope DeLyle doesn't push himself. He's still going for PT several times a week.
My knee is feeling fine this morning, but I know will be zingy later. I truly believe that the best cure for my knee is getting into the healing waters of my beloved Lake Michigan! Although, at it's current temperature,  it would knock me off! Lol. Sorry you won't make it into the office today and instead will be doing housework! Tuesday Sprinkle for our Sweeties
Lol....had to remind myself that it's Tuesday and not Monday! I'll be off kilter all week. It's a gorgeous day and I'm hell bent on getting the yard ready for DeLyle.  I'll call him this evening when he's off work.
I.sure hope my knee doesn't get aggravated. Not sure what the bug situation will be, now that it's warm. Haven't noticed any ticks,  black flies or mosquitoes yet...
It will be interesting to see how the okra does in Ed's garden. Patrick never tried to grow it. If we made something,  like a gumbo, that called for it, we'd buy a bag of frozen. I don't even know what they look like in the garden...grow on a vine, like a bean or a bushy plant? So what is the latest status with Mollie...waiting on further lab results? I think my mushroom may be RFH.in a few hours and then I can proceed with   the pond portion of my quest. Thus has turned out to.be longer and mire complicated than I had anticipated!  Hope your day is going well and you eventually make it into the office! Night Sprinkle for our Sweeties!
Well, you answered all my questions and then some! Too bad they did away with the soybean festival. It's nice to have such fond childhood memories. I'll have to try that tomato & macaroni recipe. I saw a recipe today for a tomato and cracker salad that sounded interesting. Absolutely gorgeous day today after the heavy fog burned off. No rain or storms in the forecast for the foreseeable future.  Will call DeLyle tomorrow and get the last of the sticks picked up in the yard. Next week I have to get the cemetery flowers bought and planted. Always like to do around Mama's birthday.  After the lawn is done, I'll get the pond filled and decide what flowers I'm putting in here! Spring has finally sprung.....it was a long time coming! Sunday Sprinkle for our Sweeties!
This certainly has not been a good holiday weekend for campers or folks wanting to enjoy the outdoors. Another gloomy rainy day and still chilly. Supposed to start warming up.tomorrow. I think the shops and restaurants will do a good business though. Oh Susie. I watched a crime drama last night that took place in your neck of the woods...Decatur,  back in 1996. Don't know where you were living back then. A grizzly murder of a young mother. She was divorced and ended up her ex-in-laws and ex husband.murdered her, chopped her up. put her remains in garbage bags and threw the bags into the river. Took them years to solve the crime but finally all three are serving life sentences. Killed because they thought she was going toove out of state and take her little boy. Springfield was mentioned a few times in the story. Don't know why I felt compelled to share such a gruesome tale! Lol. Hope you and Ed have a good day and that mud dries up so he can do some gardening. Hey, a big, gorgeous Baltimore Oriole showed up at my feeder yesterday!  Such vibrant colors! Saturday Sprinkle for our Sweeties
The fire finally was contained around midnight. Not sure of any details on how it got started or the damage done. They've been warning about fire danger for days now. It's still mighty cold and windy too. My yardwork so far just consists of picking up debris,  sticks and twigs in the front and side yards. Today I may do some weed wacking...I'll see if that puts strain on my knee. Will call DeLyle  on Tuesday set up an appointment.   We'll, if the tourists did come, they sure won't be swimming! It's not camping weather either. I imagine the great lakes are rough and the ferry boats to the island are probably a little scary! Glad to be home. I may do some sweeping on the porch today...lots of leaves gathered in the corners. I'd love to move some furniture, but that's going to have to wait. I do have some sense! Lol.
Hope Ed gets home soon and you two have a nice evening. Will you be heading out to Kathy's?  Please give Sis a holiday love-up for me.

Hello my lovely, dear friend! I'm this opportunity to pop in and visit a few friend's gardens. How are you?? It's been sooooo long. I'm having issues with the biological injections I have, so am totally exhuasted all of the time. My GP has been amazing and signed me off work for a couple of weeks. I have an appointment with my Crohns consultant on 9th June, but I should be back at work on the 8th. Although I really don't know how much longer I can keep working full time. I've still got 7 years until I can retire. My Manager says I can't work from home, not even a couple of days a week, so I've been looking for another job, where that would be a possibility, but there's nothing out there. I'm so fed up of feeling exhausted all of the time. Oh well, it is what it is :-(
