Saturday Sprinkle for our Sweeties
I didn't sleep well either, but eventually slept hard and woke up at noon! I was so surprised when I looked at the clock. Cold and blustery here, I don't think I'm doing outdoor work today. My back is OK today, but I pushed it doing the kitchen floor. Working the weed wacker & the loppers would strain it even more. I may have to rethink my gardening plans for this year. I have nasturtium and morning glory seeds I can throw in my outdoor planters and might see flowers by September,  lol. Kind of discouraged by everything at this point. I'm taking your advice to heart and trying not to ruminate on the situation. Can't help but look back one week ago, to last Saturday and how happy we were.
Ugh....things sure can change in the blink of an eye. I may do some baking today....blueberry muffins for sure and maybe something with lemon. Chicken fried rice on my menu for tonight. What's on your agenda for the weekend ? What's good to ear? I always enjoy hearing what you're making when Ed is home. How's  Sis doing with her paw and her eating? Yes, I did mop the kitchen and I had to take little breaks, as my back was creaky from working that mop! But it's done and that feels good and looks good. I think your take on the M situation is right on the button. We'll see what transpires after Tuesday. My thoughts and feelings are all over the place. It rained off and on all day and has stayed cold. Never took my plants out....it's certainly not porch sitting weather! Hope to do some weed wacking and trimming tomorrow.  I hate going out in the tick filled grass. That apple crisp sounds good. Did Ed make it home early? Hope we both sleep well tonight. Glad you got your office time, but sorry you got frustrated. You're right....it's a learning experience.
I got my shopping done and everything unpacked and put away without wrenching my back. Yay!
It's been a quiet evening,  had a nice conversation with Amanda.
Had more tuna Mac for supper.
Hope to tend to the garden.....maybe? Supposed to turn cold again, high of 55°. Hoping the bugs aren't bad. If they are, I'll concentrate on the porch.

Wednesday Sprinkle for our Sweeties! Wow....fell asleep and missed messaging you in your garden. I was caught up with my watering, but was waiting for your message/ visit to respond and zoned out! Oh, I am very familiar with the "feeling buggy"! Ugh. Found a tick on my neck a few nights ago. Well, as predicted the sisters are making plans for Mike.
He surprised me yesterday afternoon by showing up.at 3pm to say Jenni had called and wanted him to.be at the dinner for Trudy & her husband's arrival at 7pm. He looked truly upset and said he wanted to discuss in person with me, not over the phone. I appreciated that, but sincerely meant it when I told him to go be with his sisters. We both knew that this was going to happen with Trudy's visit. So he stated.fir some ice tea and a chat
I did not.make the blueberry muffins, but I did make the tuna Mac, as planned. After.he left, I took a very long and hot bath. It felt great on my back, but Susie, I had to laugh at myself trying to get out of the tub, it was slippery and I couldn't get any traction! Finally got a towel and wiped the tub dry and could get my footing....what a show! Lol. Yes, still going shopping today. No plans for Pond street. I told Mike yesterday to ask at dinner what the sisters might have planned for him. For now, I'd rather keep it with no plans for us, so there's not disappointment over changed ones. We have had an excellent run lately and I don't want to take a giant step backwards. Still haven't made any progress on my porch, pond or garden. Maybe will get to it this weekend. Today will be a real test of how my back holds up with grocery shopping and carrying bags, etc.... So glad you're feeling better and Sis's toe sock is doing the job. Hello Susan. We had a nice weekend. Liam had a game Saturday morning. It was raining early but stopped before his game started and the sun even came out. We took Penny for a walk on the Nelson boardwalk yesterday. It was a pretty good weather weekend, something we really haven’t had since last fall. I hope you enjoyed your weekend. Monday Sprinkle for our Sweeties
Sorry you're feeling punky. We both have not had the best Spring season! My back is still creaky. I can walk around and do basic chores,  but if I move quickly or a sudden turn and I get a zing! Still afraid to push it. Supposed to rain later this afternoon. Mike called and asked if I wanted to go out for Mexican again (he thought I was coming into town to shop at IGA)
I told him I'd already taken stuff our for a beef pasty and asked if he wanted to come share that with me. So he's bringing fruit for a salad and some mini pecan pies.
Lol....so, not a free night for me. Not to worry, his sister Trudy is coming from Arizona tomorrow. She'll be staying with Jenni, but I know Mike will get roped into spending time with her. I already told him to accept whatever offers come and we'll adjust. So I would imagine that at least one of our date nights gets canceled. I'm still fretting over not getting things done, but I know I can't risk my back. We are staying on the cool side, so that's good and it's still buggy so not missing outdoor time. I sure hope you feel better. Maybe just stay home and be quiet & rest. Sending my Bestie prayers, love, hugs and kisses.
