Hello Susan. Our driveway is finally finished. We can’t use it until mid November. It looks really nice. Larry and I are pleased with the outcome. Piper was up 3 times last night so I’m hoping she does better tonight. I’m not sure if it’s because she has to pee or if it’s separation related and doesn’t want to be alone. I’m reminding myself that this is all temporary. I’ve noticed that she’s very inconsistent with her sleep. Having a puppy is really like having a newborn. I hope you are well. Hello Susan. They are out there now working on the driveway. Finishing up loose ends. We can’t use the driveway for a month. You don’t realize how much you miss it until you don’t have it, especially when grocery shopping. My neighbor is letting me park in her driveway. My car is off to the side and not in her way. It’s across the street. Larry has been parking in the road. I guess after 2 weeks I can drive across it to pull in the driveway and back out but only once a day and make it quick with no turning of the wheels. My daughter picked up Penny this morning so she could play with the boys. They haven’t met Piper yet.Piper slept from 9:30 last night until 5 this morning so slowly everything is falling into place. I’m hoping Penny comes around sooner than later. She’s very jealous. I am paying much attention to her and really praising her when she plays nicely with Piper. I follow a Havanese page on facebook and asked for tips and advice on introducing a new puppy to the household. All were positive and said to give Penny time , that she will come around. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻. How did Molly make out at her appointment yesterday? Did Sayde stay home while you went?  It’s been cold here in the mornings for awhile now. We’ve had our heat on for a few weeks. When it warms during the day it doesn’t turn on but does overnight when the temperature drops. Yesterday was a miserable day with a misty rain and very windy. Good morning Susan. It’s hard to believe that Piper has been with us a week tomorrow. She is adjusting to her new surroundings and we are adjusting to her…slowly. Penny is super jealous. She will run over to Piper and take a toy right out of her mouth and then jump up on the couch with it🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️. Yesterday morning she was running to stand in between me and Piper if Piper ran over to me. I am praising her whenever she does something nice or should I say more friendly than others. Piper is inconsistent with her sleep schedule sometimes she gets up only once and other times it’s 3. Last night was 3 so I am tired today. The potty training is going better than I expected so that’s a plus, I hope I didn’t just jinx myself 🤞🏻. I know Penny will come around…slow and steady wins the race. How are you and Sayde doing? I sure hope that side pain didn't kick up over night. Haven't seen you posting as I made my rounds. I know it's a busy day getting Ed ready for the work week ahead,  so I'll try not to worry. No news yet from Pond street,  so I guess the baby hasn't arrived yet.  You know if Jen finds out that Mike talked to Rob, she would go berserk.  She expects everyone in the family to ostracize Rob. She has some bizarre behaviors.  She's also put up security cameras all around her house and put her wedding dress in the garbage along with a lovely collage.of wedding photos. I suggested to Mike that maybe she should have a physical as it could indicate a brain injury to have such a sudden change in personality.
Lots if rain today. I will get dressed and shower! Yay! Lol. Making pizza and a cranberry, orange nut bread. Hope you're nit in pain and just busy.  Sending my Bestie lots of love, hugs and kisses ♥️♥️♥️

Hello Susan, Last night Piper did better. She slept for a four hour stretch then after getting up and having her do potty I put her back in the crate and she slept another 2 hours and then another 2 hours before getting up. Penny is not a fan at all, so I’m hoping that changes. I keep reminding myself that it’s all temporary and to have patience. I hope you are doing well. Sending love and hugs to you and Sayde 💜

Hope that pain stays gone! Sunny, but chilly today. No date night tonight since Mike has a full day of substitute teaching tomorrow and must get up around 5.30am.  I will go pick up Sushi around noon and bring her back here and M will join us when he's done. Although,  he's not pleased  with his hourly wage. It was never discussed and he had made out forms for it to be automatically deposited in his bank account. Yesterday,.he got a bank statement and found out he's making $16/hr ! So, I know he's committed to working tomorrow,  but not sure he'll do it again. So, I'll have left over spaghetti tonight. Tomorrow I'm thinking salmon patties, sautéed summer squash,.rice and Asian slaw. Fruit salad for dessert.  It's so sunny and pleasant,  it's hard to believe that a rainy weekend is in the forecast.  Take it easy today, Bestie.  Sending love, hugs and kisses ♥️♥️♥️

Hello Susan. Penny is upset about the new addition but she is playing with her…kind of. They are chasing each other around and Penny is taking all the toys away from Piper 🤦🏻‍♀️. She didn’t sleep well through the night. She was up crying on and off. Penny was crate trained and did well from day one but Piper was in a pen with her 6 sisters and her Mom so I think that’s the problem. She is soooo tiny. Only 2 pounds. I can't believe I didn't send a good night message! Actually, I CAN believe it....very distracted with my thoughts. Concerned about the boiler situation, even though Mike said he'd take care of the cost. I appreciate that, but it pains me to burden him with more financial strain. I think last weekend was a bit much on my stress level too. Being thrown into his family drama with 2 feuding sisters I've never met and being on the entertainment committee without warning. Not in the best frame of mind at the moment, but keeping busy with chores and trying hard not to overthink. Your dinners sound delicious!  I am going to make chicken pot pie for supper tonight. I have the leftover pork roast in the crockpot,  will cook till it falls apart, add cumin, garlic and cilantro,  with pepper & onions and use it in burritos for tomorrow's dinner. Wednesday Sprinkle for our Sweeties!  Yes, it was nice to wake up.in my own bed and a quiet house! I know all of that "sister drama" was a bit much for Mike.
Also being responsible for entertaining Trudy for 4 days weighed heavy on him. He thanked me yesterday for assisting him with that. Honestly Susie, I don't quite know what to make of that bunch. I keep reminding myself of my initial impressions of Bill's family and how it changed over time. Thus sounds terrible, but I fear there may be a genetic factor involved there with Mike's kids and siblings  leaning towards depression. Well. I was in the bathroom when the gal that schedules the boiler boys, called.
Miss the call by 10 minutes, called her back and the guy was already off on another call! Arrrrgh! She said he may be able to come this afternoon. But nothing definite.
I hate to be hanging waiting on a call!.i.jeed to go grocery shopping at some point. I'm anxious to hear back from Mike about Damon and what's happening on that front, but also am thinking he's probably enjoying some peace after 5 days of high drama.
