I laughed at you getting spoiled by hubby while you’re sick, I think that’s the only advantage, lol. It was absolutely beautiful here today, zero wind. It was -5 when we started our walk, and around 20 minutes in, my gloves were the first thing to put in my backpack, I always carry water for Nikki, so I always bring it on our walks. It was pure blue skies with sun. Here it’s the wind that will make it feel much colder. The coldest day I ever experienced was -47 without the wind, that was in the city before here. It was -57 with the wind. I used to drive a standard, and the clutch used to be so stiff. The whole car was like a block of ice, tires stop feeling round. That one particular winter was the coldest I’ve ever experienced, we had over 5 weeks of the temps never going below -30, that winter sealed it for us on whether we’d retire there, or somewhere else 😂. We had what felt like record breaking snowfall amounts too, but the ones that kept records said there were many other years with higher amounts. The reason it felt like a lot was that we did not have one day above 0 for 4 months, that was the record that year, no winter thaw 🙈. Right now that city has a shit load of snow, it’s only a 5 hour drive north of here, but their winters are at least 10 to 15 degrees colder than here pretty much everyday in the winter.
