Hi Yvonne 😘
That town in Quebec, I’ve never been, it’s quite north, and way colder than here. Our deep freeze weather starts tonight 🥶, it’s 5:51 pm and -18 outside, dropping to -27 overnight. You should see the snow we have 🥴, the banks along the sidewalks in some spots are taller than me. Feels like you are walking in a tunnel, protects you from the wind though. It was quite gusty today, I had a hard time being able to see, snow was flying everywhere from the wind. Nikki’s face was covered in snow, I laughed at that. We were the on,y ones walking. One of my nieces posted a study that was done, saying if people walked in the winter for 20 to 30 minutes a day, the chances of getting a flu decreases by 50%. Brian and I are living proof, 4 years flu free. But, I drum that up to not having much contact with people. When we worked we were around germs way more, lol.
One of my sisters taught in a small town in Nunavut. She was there 14 years, I could never 🤦♀️! She had to preorder all her stuff that she would need in one shot. The ships can only pass through the ice in July, there is like a 3 week window. There was very little snow, way too cold for that. Brian worked in a mine that was close to that town, he saw -60 up there. He was there 3 months, never went back. Food is extremely expensive, everything is. There, your worse enemy is polar bears. They hunt humans. I’ve never had the pleasure of seeing one, and I hope to keep that record, lol.
Hope you have a great Wednesday, and no, I do not need to know how much above 0 you are, 🤭🤭😘
