Reading that makes us sound like grumpy old things but when there's 7/8 of you at a table it's nice to be able to talk without having to shout to be heard.

Tomorrow is hall day and as I missed last week I'm hoping there'll be some new puzzles. Ness should have her new car which will be fun to see.

So far I've not been asked to put my phone number in to get my emails, please don't threaten me with that. I can usually get in by going to my Favourites, clicking on the TalkTalk App, which is set up in there and it takes me straight in. Occasionally I have to put in my password but I don't do the robot thing, well not yet anyway.

I'm just off to have a shower and tonight I WILL go to bed early, well before midnight!

And yes, jigsaws are an addiction, I'm convinced of it.

Hi Janet, it's been another dampish day 50 with a little sun. I know that Tommy wandered over to the food while I was out for lunch as some of it was missing. He'd also moved himself further down the garden. I was feeling very sorry for him getting so wet that I've built him a temporary shelter by laying a small piece of triple polycarbonate sheeting over some pots so he can get underneath. He had a strawberry then trundled under it so looks like it might be a winner.

I had lunch with my friends, a nice carvery, lots of vegetables with roast turkey and gammon. We arrived at 1 and decided we'd best leave at 3.30 not that they seemed to mind . If it had been busier maybe it would have been different but although there were several people eating it never got crowded. When the summer holidays get here the place will be heaving because it's on the Broads and people come up off the boats with their children and dogs so we tend to give those weeks a miss. We'll go again at the end of June or beginning of July then not again until September.
