Happy New Year! It has just gone Midnight here in England and I have been inspired by the tradition of first-footing to go around visiting fairies, leaving a few Gold coins for luck.

The Scottish tradition says that the first person to enter a household on New Year's Day will bring fortune for the year to come. It is a sign of good luck for the first-footer to bring a small gift, such as coins - hence my gift to you.

Not familiar with Baker City. Now have to look it up on a map :-) Have been here since 2012. People are pretty nice in general and the size of this town is not as big as some. And it does not rain as much here as the rest of the US seems to think it does!
