important to have spotted in your own so you always have uw spawn available .. try to keep the tadpole amount at least 5 higher than your total of uw & guw frogs combined and that way you will always have uw spawn avail in your garden.
having spawn available on land is always handy though .. should you run out of uw spawn you know you have an emergency stash you can get on land. plus good for uw seeds as well. but i think having uw spawn avail most important because it becomes a hassle when going to and fro land, if you get a stubborn mm that will not show the ducks eat the landspawn, and when you are further up on bds as you know ( i see you have your bb ) the corals take up all the room,
most i know who do these a lot ensure they always have uw spawn avail .. i do, i hate doing rounds of tadpoles but worth it not to rely on land spawn.  everyone plays differently and some i have seen always using land stuff but much simpler when under to get i think x

to see if you are due uw frogs / spawn you look at what you have attracted .. what you have spotted is only relevant for landfrogs.

every tadpole you attract allows you to attract 1 froglet, and for every froglet you attract you can attract 1 uw frog.
when looking at our numbers we also need to take account of any ghostly uw frog we have attracted though. the guw adds to the total of our uw frogs for working out what we are due.
so in your garden you have attracted 7 guw frogs, 69 uw frogs giving a total of 76, you have attracted 76 froglets and 77 tadpoles which leaves 1 froglet to come  - for every tadpole attracted we can get 1 froglet. if you had attracted that 1 froglet taking the count to 77 it would then allow you to attract 1 uw frog - for every froglet we attract we can attract 1 uw frog so 77 froglets - 76 uw frogs = 1 uw frog still to come. which would have been your  70th and every 5th lays spawn so you would have got spawn ( this is still available for when you though when uw )
the ghostly and uw frog do work independently however as every 5th guw frog will lay spawn and every 5th uw frog will lay spawn   so if you were in the murky pond and attracting guw frogs as you have already attracted 7 guw frogs you would need to have 3 outstanding available to lay spawn which would be your 10th guw frog. as you only have 1 uw avail currently you would not be able to do.
i hope this has helped .. in short we add the guw to uw frogs to see how many we are due when uw and should try to keep our tadpole count at least 5 higher than the uw frogs plus guw  we have attracted. x

hi .. wai has asked me to try to explain frogs for you .. wai's english is great but sometimes hard for her to express in detail when things quite long winded or a little more complicated.

so on land for every tadpole, froglet and uw frog you spot you can attract 1 landfrog.  the ghostly frogs count as uw frogs so you have to add them on to the amount of uw frogs you spot ... so if you have spotted 5 tadpole, 5 froglets, 4 uw frogs and 1 ghostly uw frog this would give you total of 5 of each you have spotted in other gardens which would then allow you to attract 5 landfrogs. when looking for landspawn to work out how many you can attract you would always go by the lowest of whichever one you have spotted as it is for every full life cycle you spot you can attract one land frog. 1 life cycle = 1 tad, 1 froglet, 1 uw frog ( guw frog) if you have attracted landfrogs before you would then need to subtract this amount from what you have spotted to see if you are due any .. ie - if you had spotted 14 uw frogs, 1 guw, 13 froglets and 11 tadpoles, you would have spotted in total 11 full cycles. but if you had already attracted in your garden 5 landfrogs you would be due 11 - 5 =

I found it difficult to grasp the frog maths too! I still use my notes to remind me each time I do them!

I don't think it matters but it is good to have both ways to get frog spawn...
