Dear Polly, it was such a wonderful surprise to see you back in the gardens again. You've been sorely missed. more to the point how are YOU? I know this time of year can be stressful, especially as the streets and malls are overflowing with shoppers buying gifts. I only have one gift left to wrap, until the next gift I've ordered on line gets here. ( I hope it arrives in time). My walking isn't too good. I'm having a pair of what look like trainers (sneakers),made of the softest leather but they won't be ready until mid January. I'm off to see a vampire early afternoon. Why do they need to take st least three ampules or more of bloods? I lost a dear friend two no, three days ago now. I'm so sad for him. I'm still struggling to get my head around it. . I can't even go to the funeral, because h lives miles away. So sad. I'm off to the happily married couples from the 24th until late afternoon on the 26th. Good Morning Polly, I am doing well. Sadye is doing good. She seems to be almost back to her old self. So grateful for that. So far no further incidents with the neighbors dog. But I am always on high alert when we are outside. I have an appointment to take her next week, to have her follow up blood work done, to see how her kidney and liver levels are. I am praying that her numbers are good, at least maintaining and not have gotten worse. Polly I hate that you struggle with your health. I know you have battled this a long time but I can only imagine how exhausting it must be, just to feel good. You told me about your flare up earlier and I imagine you are exhausted. Glad you were able to take some time for yourself and try to rest up. It is always a busy time of year, and taking care of you will hopefully help you feel well enough to enjoy the holidays somewhat. Not much left to do except the last minute cooking and baking. You are right, we put so much effort into something that will be over in a blink of an eye. Although the memories we get out of that little time is worth all the work that goes into it. Whew, I am glad it is only once a year. I'm too old to do this more than once a year. LOL! So glad to hear Hugo is doing well. I can imagine how energetic he must be. I sure miss Sadye being like that. Although I will cherish every minute I have her no matter what her condition may be. Hi Polly! You just happen to find me on a bad day, oh dear, the last few days wrapping gifts and writing cards has caused a mini flare-up of my arthritis and I'm cranky because I'm in pain. Mum and Luke are being very tolerant of my poor behaviour but they know I don't mean it, I'll apologise tomorrow. How are things with you? Bet it'll be nice to have a couple of days off (I won't say a couple of days rest!) to give you a chance to get a few things sorted. Nope, I'm not even close to being ready this year, usually I absolutely love Christmas but I just can't seem to summon any enthusiasm for it this year. No idea why to be honest! No plans for anything special, I'm quite happy to be at home. I'll see my best friend at some point but other than that, no, no plans. Happy for you that you're getting some time in FL. Hello Polly, Sadye finished her meds on Tuesday. She is doing well for the most part. Still moving slow and I won't let her use her ramps in the house. They are more steep in here, than the one we have for her outside to do her business. So I will let her use the one outside to help gain some strength back. Thank you for the kind words trying to help me feel better about hurting my girl. It was just heartbreaking knowing I was the one who hurt her. She will always be prone to back injury but I hate to see her in pain and not her spunky self. Yes that is what I'm afraid of, if the neighbors dog come up on her and roll her, it could be quite devastating for her. It sounds like you are on the mend. Glad to hear that. You were even able to do a bit on cleaning, oh and shopping. I have done most of my Christmas shopping online, although I do craft a lot of my Christmas gifts, that takes a lot time and I can get quite stressed if I am behind on time. Continued below...

You said you like the Christmas markets. My sister and I are going to Chicago in early December to the Christkindle market. It is like the European markets they have. My sister lived in Germany when her husband was in the military, and she loved it there, she is really looking forward to it. I'm going a long, but I'm sure it won't be thrilling for me as it will be for her. Kathy and Jenny are both well. Her other daughter will be staying with Jenny when we go to the Christkindle market. We will go up on a Wednesday, spend the night and come home early Thursday morning. So Kim and her husband will be with Jenny. Kathy is excited that she is able to go, and Kim was able to arrange time off to be with Jenny. How is that handsome Hugo? I hope he is doing well. Give him tummy rubs and ear scritches for us.
