I'm so sorry ..... I know exactly how you feel! (squeakers & quackers)!
let me tell U s'thing that MAY MAKE U LAFF .... so I rescued two quackers just a day old many moons ago .... I'd just had knee surgery so mom helped me put them to bed each night & take them out in their pen each morning and she'd always say, the only thing they do is EAT & POOP! and I'd say mom, God made them that way, I don't think you should be saying things like this! LOL LOL!
it was such an experience & an education. WOW!  I was so happy they didn't IMPRINT on me.... I wrote a story about them w/ pix & my young grandsons' favorite part was learning their first swim was in a peanut butter jar lid!
