Make sure your toadstool with the Butter on it is to the left.  Put out berries for the fairy, leave out an empty Tea Cup.  When the fairy visits, she will harvest the Butter and plant the Buttercup in the Tea Cup.  Do not dust the Buttercup to fully grown yet.  Harvest the toadstool and replant it ready for the next round.

Make sure your toadstool with the Grass is now to the left of any other toadstools with bubbles on.  Put out an empty high table for the grass to be harvested onto.  When the fairy visits again, she will harvest the grass onto the table.  Harvest the toadstool and replant it for the next round.

Diamond dust the Buttercup to fully grown (you need both the grass AND a fully grown Buttercup to attract the Goats and the Troll).

Hi Bette,
   I would recommend wait until the toadstool has been harvested by the fairy before dusting the first beanstalk. Though I would recommend dusting the toadstool (diamond, and fruiting).
If you want to help the next pass through keep the cows going until get to 1 off next 5th cow (14, 19,24,29,...) and then clear the grass.
After having the treasure harvested, harvest the toadstool, replant it, and dust it closer to harvestable.

  So glad to hear that your daughter made it safely from waiting pretty much of her time at the airport.
It's 11:21PM right now, I went for my evening walk at 8 & 11:00 in the evening but right now it's freezing rain out there right now has been for at least an hour & a half, so at least I've gotten one walk, I love the fresh air in the winter, right now it's -5 C  which shows on my task bar along with heavy snow, which will probably be later, I just hope & pray we don't have a power outage for that's what they were saying on the news.

Because you only need the Beanstalk to be fully grown I wouldn't dust the Beanstalk. Usually I didn't dust it until the toadstool (which needs to be harvestable) is ready AND the fairy has visited and harvested the treasure,and only then diamond dust the Beanstalk to the edge of being fully grown. That way you get the greatest time available for Jack to do his larceny.
Almost always (in all the fairytales), if you can, dust the toadstools so that the fairy visits and does her magic as rapidly as possible. This is especially important for the last 3 fairytales because the special plants(beanstalk, buttercup, knapweed, nightshade, and snowdrop) only work when fully grown, not after they turn ready for harvest. Also there are other things which need doing while the special plants are useful- collecting treasure with Jack, growing toadstools for buttercups, and feeding goats with the goats, and growing toadstools for gems with the dwarves.

You should probably put the treasure pot away until you have at least got the grass done and started on the Beanstalk.
