Hi Bette,
   I would recommend wait until the toadstool has been harvested by the fairy before dusting the first beanstalk. Though I would recommend dusting the toadstool (diamond, and fruiting).
If you want to help the next pass through keep the cows going until get to 1 off next 5th cow (14, 19,24,29,...) and then clear the grass.
After having the treasure harvested, harvest the toadstool, replant it, and dust it closer to harvestable.

  So glad to hear that your daughter made it safely from waiting pretty much of her time at the airport.
It's 11:21PM right now, I went for my evening walk at 8 & 11:00 in the evening but right now it's freezing rain out there right now has been for at least an hour & a half, so at least I've gotten one walk, I love the fresh air in the winter, right now it's -5 C  which shows on my task bar along with heavy snow, which will probably be later, I just hope & pray we don't have a power outage for that's what they were saying on the news.

Because you only need the Beanstalk to be fully grown I wouldn't dust the Beanstalk. Usually I didn't dust it until the toadstool (which needs to be harvestable) is ready AND the fairy has visited and harvested the treasure,and only then diamond dust the Beanstalk to the edge of being fully grown. That way you get the greatest time available for Jack to do his larceny.
Almost always (in all the fairytales), if you can, dust the toadstools so that the fairy visits and does her magic as rapidly as possible. This is especially important for the last 3 fairytales because the special plants(beanstalk, buttercup, knapweed, nightshade, and snowdrop) only work when fully grown, not after they turn ready for harvest. Also there are other things which need doing while the special plants are useful- collecting treasure with Jack, growing toadstools for buttercups, and feeding goats with the goats, and growing toadstools for gems with the dwarves.

fairy tale cows

You should probably put the treasure pot away until you have at least got the grass done and started on the Beanstalk.

the "treasure harvesting fairy" is Viridia too but attracted by a fairytale toadstool planted in a "treasure pot" (the golden/yellow pot currently in your garden).
The Jack and the Beanstalk procedure (from memory) is:
- plant a fairytale toadstool in the "grass pot"(rainbow flat dish) and allow to come to RFH state(pushing process along with dust if you want).
- wait for Viridia to harvest the toadstool (grass) onto a LOW feeding table - this will attract cows.
- put out an empty beanstalk pot.
- wait for the cows to eat the grass.
- every 5th cow will fill the beanstalk pot with soil and a beanstalk seed. Miss the 5th and you have to wait till the next 5th. Allow the beanstalk grow(dusting it if wanted).
- plant a fairytale toadstool in the golden "treasure pot", and wait for it to turn RFH(dusting it if you want).
- wait for Viridia to harvest the treasure toadstool onto an empty food table.
- Jack, the Giant, magpies, and magpie pairs will visit and take(eat ?;) the treasure.
*after 10 Jacks have been spotted golden hens will visit if birdseed is out - one for each 10 lots of treasure Jack has "stolen". 6(?) hens need to be spotted to complete this fairytale and enable the billygoat fairytale.

note: the toadstools can all be planted at the same time, but the cows need to be fed to get a beanstalk and allow Jack (and the giant) at the treasure. No beanstalk(or if beanstalk harvestable) means only magpies will visit the treasure.
So grass must be harvested first, and treasure only after the Beanstalk is fully grown(or nearly so).
as each 5th cow can plant a beanstalk and usually(double, triple, or super) feed tableworth have more than 5 feeds multiple beanstalks can be gotten from a single Viridia visit - one dusted heavily and one not - having 2(or more) fully grown beanstalks is a waste: no benefit.
As beanstalks only remain "fully grown" for a short time(2days?) and maximizing treasure collection by Jack is important utilising your 3rd food plate(hat;) may help a lot - you could have 2 treasure tables going simultaneously.

I'm worrying this is all as clear as fine silty mud, but don't give up , I'm sure you can do it.

I would have seen it anyway,.  I'm doing the level 4 on safari quest and some fairy threw a kink in the thing by spotting a gazelle family.  so now I need another gazelle family instead of just a regular gazelle.  And now the dragons have taken over my garden.  Looks like I have to go back to the supershroom.  That's what I'm gonnna concentrate on instead of real life which is really the pits now.  Georgie is fading.  Won't be out of the hospital and I wasn't able to visit with her when I was in Toronto, b/c she contracted covid from the hospital staff.  And was put in isolation.  ahhhhh.  deep sigh.

Jack is not too bad, only need to remember cows only eat low, magpies (and paired ones) like stealing treasure, and supershrooms deter giants :)

With good food, and space you may be able to get 2 beanstalks going with each grass pad.
Watch out if you go over 5 cows without a pot out for Beanstalk you need another 5 cows to visit for the Beanstalk, wasting(?) time. Don't really need super for cows(or grass harvesting fairy), but definitely helps using super for the treasure harvesting fairy(gives super treasure).
Other advice have fun and don't worry it's all meaningless, for we're all mad here 😜
