no doubt soggy pumpkins aren't good, but the big ones do cause darkness and lightning, I always have enjoyed the thrill of thunderstorms, ( fortunately we rarely get tornadoes from them) the flash of light or the spark between earth and sky (or cloud to cloud). Sometimes a sharp crack and the deep rumble. Truely awesome :)

Hi Bette. We had a few days of cold and now back to rain, rain and more rain :-(
Today we have a little trip to the edge of Cornwall. Going to Cotehele (medieval manor house) to see and smell the garland in the hall. It is amazing and different every year. It is four years since we have been because it is less than 50 miles away but takes an hour and a half to get there!
