Good news is that Neil is up, showered, dressed plus of course fed and watered with a furry friend in position on the arm of his chair :) No strong winds or rain as yet...did have to replace many a large pot this morning that went to greet the bird table without an invite!! Did giggle when checking the mailbox ....obviously small birds sheltered within from the storm and left a few presents...the postie hand delivered our mail yesterday as there were many items so didn't get to check the mailbox. So many small birds visiting the bird table today...mainly from the Tit family but with a few siskin and bunting too. Did detect the old whiskers twitching on McFuzz about an hour ago...he noticed a small red mousey make his way up one of the bushes, poke his tiny head between the leaves and start feeding from one of the lower feeding stations of the mixed seed container...definitely resembled a dormouse that are of course protected across the UK...wish I had the camera handy...never mind, lovely to see xx

Sorry to hear about Neil again. Hope he is soon on the road to recovery. Lovely that Luke came to visit but not so nice to hear about the weather. Hope everything is back to normal with your electricity and not too much damage was caused by the storm.

Just a quick sprinkle this evening...what a couple of weeks...fabulous to have Luke here as always...Neil injured his back (again) last Friday and until this afternoon hasn't made it from the bed to the Snug...he has a torn back muscle and sciatica...whatever next!!! All the time we were in Inverness, Neil didn't have to see the Doctor more than twice (18yrs) but this year will soon have his own seat at the local Surgery...haha. We did have an interesting Thursday night in particular due to the tail end of a storm that hit the area...even had great waves on the Loch....half expected to see Nessie surf past!! The trees that came down were removed by the locals...the rather large hailstones seemed to catch McMurdo's attention but with a power cut, he was not amused that his favourite radiator was ice cold like the rest of the house!! will do as much as I can but the broadband signal is so weak and slow....even worse than our normal slow...haha...night night xx
