So sorry for your loss Karen. Seems like Lorraine had a tough go recently. Passing in your sleep is hopefully painless and she has gone home. You have my sympathies, you and your family. Take care.

Your poor sister - that's awful!  I'm a "cat person" but I like well-behaved dogs; I'm just so sick of all the irresponsible dog owners (I encounter too many on my walks).  It must have been a very traumatic experience for both your sister and her little dog.  I hope they prosecute the owner of the dog that attacked them.  I'm glad you're nearby to support your sister.  Take care - all of you! x

Hello finally Friday 🙌 we are going g to a beach town called quarteira I literally just want to lie in the sun and do nothing we night extend abd fo a bit in Lisbon. But really just want to chill hope uou are warm and cosy I hear ct  having g a bad time of it with the storms xxxxx

I'm so sorry to hear Karen. That is devastating. I sure hope the storms end soon. Seems almost suspect to have 3 storms back to back like that. I sure hope you can manage to get back to normal soon. What makes it worse is the winter when its so cold to be dealing with this. Stay safe Karen.

How terrible that the storms are so bad. Is this a natural occurrence? It is so distressing for people to have to deal with losing their homes in winter. Are there shelters for people struggling Karen? Its good that you aren't affected. Yet horrific that others have to deal with it. :(

Wow Karen so you have travelled extensively. I'm impressed. Canada is beautiful I must say. I know BC is quite something. Right by the ocean. With valleys and mountains and its most fabulous green places. Lots of unspoiled wilderness. The prairies are very flat and you get to see lots of sky. Its got wonderful places everywhere in the east as well. Not a fan of Quebec though, they don't care for English speaking people. And until we get a new PM you don't want to be here. Far too much crime and immigrants at the moment who hate women. Mostly in the big cities, but its gonna spread.
Boiled dinner is a cottage roll, which is like a ham. Cooked in the same pot with turnip and carrots and onions and potatoes and cabbage and celery. And we had sweet potatoes with it. Its a fabulous dinner if you like root vegetables and we do. Simmers all day and smells heavenly. Some people use corned beef brisket. Instead of cottage roll. But it sure is a treat.
Enjoy your day Karen. Trust me when I tell you Canada is almost full on communist right now. Don't rush to visit here until things change. Our leader is a whacko! :)

Sounds like you've done some travelling. I know in NS in Canada its cold and damp, because they are by the ocean and they get lots of snow. I would hate to never be warm. And yes that would be worse as you get older. Can lead to arthritis and  its not good.
Living in Bermuda must have been great. I've been to Barbados and it was fabulous there. So warm and pretty.
I have never lived anywhere besides Canada, though I have moved around here, from BC to Alberta to Ontario.
