To stop dogs peeing inside, use natural deterrents like diluted vinegar, lemon juice, or cayenne pepper in problem spots ( spot test first!), but focus on positive training: increase potty breaks, reward outdoor urination with treats/praise, clean accidents thoroughly with an enzymatic cleaner, and use crates or gates to manage the dog's access to problem areas, as punishment makes it worse.
Natural Deterrents (Use with Caution)
Vinegar: Mix white or apple cider vinegar with water in a spray bottle and lightly mist problem areas; dogs dislike the strong smell.
Citrus: Dogs hate citrus smells. Use lemon/orange peels or a diluted citrus spray to deter them.
Spices: A mix of vinegar, water, and a little pepper can work, but avoid making it too strong or irritating for your dog.
