Hi Tricia, its good you are researching for yourself online, that way you can find one to suit your needs. The only reason l can logically think of why they say dont store it on carpet is this... when folk walk on carpet it causes a static charge and may drain the battery. A 5 weekly charge up for it is great, so much less electricity usage. Just charged mine no idea how many weeks (a lot) but its the first time since the original charge up from when it was delivered. Hun l have to say its your money and so your choice . l understand Ross may be worried about safety for you, and keeping warm and dry in the horrid weather. There are lots of add ons you can buy to ensure your are warm and dry. You have a garage so storing the scooter is not a problem . I have a almost full length padded raincoat with hood, hat and gloves, lots of thermal underwear etc. so stay warm and dry. There are scooters with heated steering handles, and all over scooter hoods you can attach. l dont have one myself but have seen others that do. Take it easy today, l am left with the chores today Hubby gone out , so peaceful yay lol. . Have a good day too Hugs xxx
