Very warm here and sunshine until I go out for my outpatient physical therapy...small shower as I walked outside and got in the car... then when we parked, started raining as we couldn't get a close parking spot... lol We laugh every time I have my appointments  but the weather was tolerable in a sleeveless... don't blame you..Get outside....and enjoy xoxo

Aww I understand that Lorna, my other half had Non Hodgkins and one of the chemos he had left one kidney with 20% function, although it has recovered a bit since.  They certainly don't tell you those sort of things.  But he has been in remission now for 9 years and we are very thankful.  Take care and enjoy any good weather, it is supposed to break down by the weekend. xx

Yep ..Pollock Park was where I was trying to remember ..We used to walk home from there, swinging our jars of taddies.

That's why I'm not here as much. My biggest fear is being bedridden, I get nervous when I feel weaker, fatigued and more pain..Will try my out pt pt.   ..Oh,  I can't find a rail for my adjustable bed. Would help me get out of bed..  The  new OT can't either, have a metal frame, so nothing can get nailed into it.  Nothing is easy. anyway hope I feel a bit better after some sessions.. 2 x a week..  hope you are feeling better each day... Say yes to that dress..hehe I will be there in spirit...  I'm trying with doing some basic strengthening exercises and walking short distances in the house in between going to the outpatient facility.

Anyway, I got home and my electric recliner broke the night before I went into the facilty and was in so much pain without keeping my legs elevated. Had to order the remote control hoping thar was the issue and it took over a week ,,, it worked but I felt I undid what I worked out in the rehab but was trying to do some exercises they gave me, It's not an exacerbation but just progression and decline. not walking as much as I used too,,, wasn't a  lot but I use my manual WC more....need to keep my upper body strong and that facility didn't address that....reason I was upset. Started out patient PT but it is so hot here that I have tried this before but once I shower and try working out I get exhausted.  I will try. That's all I can do, I had my mammogram done last week and another test I get yearly.

aww, thank you. I recently was in a center for PT  as I felt deconditioned and other things, I looked into it and asked my pain management doc and neurologist to see what if it would help or get accepted from home. usually get in there after being in hospital for 3 days... but they said , the facility, I could be accepted. Anyway, I wanted occupational therapy for my shoulders and I didn't get that. it was supposed to be adapted to me. It wasn't as promised ...I kept asking them to address my impingement syndrome as I had 2 injections almost 2 weeks prior by pain management... I only was in for 1 week. you technically get 3 hours a day and  I begged for exercises for my arms...pulleys..etc... the answer was you get group therapy for that..that was never mentioned and not individualized  I told my therapist as  she was on vacay  when I was admitted. I should not have gone in until they were back. , Anyway the PT WAS OK, A positive.  disappointed I didn't get the OT I needed, they focused on ADL's...I showed them how I can shower, then move on...

It did, I have a very rare type of anemia and as I get older my haemoglobin has dropped leaving me very tired.  My Consultant has put me back on a high dose of folic acid tablets which hopefully will work.  The heat has made me feel even worse but things are looking positive.  Hope your appt went well too xx
