Hi Kim, sounds nice, I love lakes!
The one we went to is just short of 2 hours drive, it's our biggest one around. There are smaller lakes around closer we can go to, most don't have camping or cabins though. Nice for swimming and picnics and lots of hiking.
It's warm and dry here, could use some rain!
