Just think you will enjoy the Isle of Wight for several days whereas the party would just be one. You can think about it and wish them well but not be upset about it.
We had a little bit of snow, just enough to cover everything and make it look pretty again. Now no snow in the fore cast for at least 4 days, or so the y say,.
Hope you got all your birthday cards, they take a  while to choose to get them just right for the recipient.
