Hi, Dot!  I did the large bush the other day and a smaller one today.  The smaller one is in a sunny, hot area and Don helped me.  I swear my scalp felt like it was on fire.  Of course, our entire front yard is rocked and with washes.  The Palo Verde tree hasn't started to sprout any leaves yet.  We have it cut back now every year & this is the first year it hasn't shown any growth yet.  I hope it's ok.  We'll see!  Have a nice week, too!  xxx
