While Nick was gone today, I went between the house and picked some weeds quickly.  They were easy to get without gloves.  I don't know why, but it bothers me when he's home and I'm out front.  He has the weirdest blinds.  They can lift up from the bottom or come down from the top.

Hi, Janet!  Wow, D. D. Black!  How was that possible?  LOL  I've not had the books yet. but plan on it & will let you know if they are good.  :) 

You worked hard again today.  We went to lunch and then stopped by Pahrump Nugget & watched some man win over $10,600!!!  Yikes!  He was playing 2cents and was playing probably $6.50 per bet.  That's way too rich for us.  LOL  Oh, well, I like small wins.  ;) 

I changed my bed today, too!  With Randy on top of everything on a blanket, still, I just feel like changing it frequently.  While Don was at the gym, I made another apple pie with the 4 large Granny Smith apples that were left over from the bag.  Turned out very good. 

I hope you hear from Alan.  You would think he would love having people want him to come help them with their gardens.  Especially since it's not easy to find them in your area.
