How are you feeling today? Much better, I hope. I was reading about fire hydrants in the book of unusual knowledge. London had a system in 1600's where a network of hollowed out tree trunks were used under the cobblestone streets. They would dig down into the streets and tap into the tree trunks for water when fighting a blaze. Then plug the hole...which is the origin of the term "fireplug". :) They would mark the spot for the next time a fire broke out. :) I love reading that book. Sandy bought it for Don's birthday in August! :)
