Today went fast.  After we picked up Don's prescription, we went to Saddle West.  Didn't see Marty, but did play some and won a little.  Better than losing.  If we hadn't played back some of our winnings, it would have been better.  Try telling Don that!  LOL  Oh, well.  He went to the gym and I ran the sweeper and quickly mopped the floor.  We had leftover chili from last night for dinner.  I like those easy meals. 

After dinner I went out to pick the spent blossoms off of the cactus pads out front.  Jay and his wife were leaving for dinner and said hello.  Jay got a new Cadillac car...really nice looking.  He said he was in a wreck not too long ago and the car was in bad shape.  I watered the cactus plants, too, as they are not on the watering system.

Hi, Janet!  Just now saw your post.  It's 10:10 p.m.  Like you said, where does the time go?  So sorry to hear that Maggie's sister has passed.  Does Maggie live close to her?  Also, nice you had a visit from your American friend up the street.  You will find something nice for her, I know.  I'll be sending you something probably early next month for your birthday.  The way things are going, probably the sooner the better.  Who knows how slow the mail is in today's world. 

Remember the other day I mentioned there was a brush fire in Pahrump.  Well, today there was another.  I could see something that appeared like smoke and Don at first didn't think it was, but soon the heavy rescue truck, multiple fire trucks, and several more were on their way to the area where I saw smoke.  It was pretty breezy this morning and early afternoon.  Perfect setting for a brush fire.  :(  I still don't know any details other than it was put out.
