Good morning Cath ~ thanks for spotting the BFM. It's turned very cold here. Too much for one of the peacock chicks I'm afraid, so I'm down to two now. Hoping they have enough body mass to sustain their core temperature. It's turned cold just as mother no longer wants to brood them 😭 xx

Hi Cath, how are you? well the first shift at PO was a debacle.  I arrived at 2 am, there were no cars in the parking lot, I knocked but no answer, their phone system does not have an opportunity to leave a voicemail and at night it's just an automatic message, it doesn't actually ring in the building.  I waited around for 30 minutes and then went home; I left a note on the door- about 5 am I fell asleep and of course then they called and I didn't hear the phone.  But today I was able to work.  Looks like it will be 2 am - 8 am 6 days a week, I have a door code now so I can get in.  I am really out of shape!  After 6 hours of  scanning packages, lifting packages, cutting plastic wrap off pallets of packages and putting the packages into the correct bins, I was exhausted.  I came home, laid down for a nap about 11:30 am and slept til 5 pm!  I'm sure it will get easier as it goes along.  I live in a fairly s mall town (27,000 people, not like Minneapolis) and it's just a branch post office, that serves my town only.  I was foolishly thinking, how many packages can there be?  Well, I lost count when it went over 4,000 -  and everyone is saying, just wait a couple of weeks when the Dec

Hi Cath. It sounds as though you all had a happy time shopping, nice to have had lunch out as well. It's a very cold morning here, woke to sleet falling which has turned to rain now.
