Morning sprinkles....I know you got up early to get to the laundromat....only to find everyone else had the same idea. Sorry it was packed. I know you like it when hardly no one is there. I'm glad you were able to rest your ankle yesterday. Hopefully it won't get out of whack again being up on it doing laundry and shopping too. Our heat wave is starting back up too. Not looking forward to that. Started watering already and we have cucumbers and bell peppers coming on now too. So it won't be long we will have some fresh produce. I can't believe that new condition circulating involving that parasite on the produce. I see Michigan and Illinois has a lot of cases. It sounds horrible. I told Ed about it last night. Ed sure doesn't need explosive diarrhea on the job site. He eats strawberries, and it says berries is one of the items that might carry that parasite. So he needs wash his strawberries really well. I hope you get laundry done and your shopping done and back home to rest. Enjoy your day. By the way you should be receiving a package soon. Sending lots of prayers, love, hugs and kisses!

Tomorrow is a public holiday unique to New Zealand only called Matariki.
Matariki is the celebration of the Māori New Year. It is marked by the rise of the Matariki (Pleiades/Subaru/Mao) star cluster as we pass through the dead of winter (June/July), into a new year.
It is celebrated in 3 ways (besides a bank holiday) over the period when the star cluster rises and is visible to us.
Basically, we remember / mourn those who have passed in this last 12 months. We share food / a meal with others to celebrate what we have in the present. Then thirdly, we prepare the ground/garden and plant food to sustain us in the future.

For now I'm resting, as I've shopped, cleaned my house, written up my menu to share with my neighbours tomorrow and compiled my list of vegetables I'll be planting on Sunday.

So now it's time to do some return sprinkles 😉💚

Hot hot hot today. 30c as I drive home from mature movers. My towels dried in 90mins on the line!  I’ve just come in from watering the garden and deheading the roses. Theo has just decided to curl up beside me 🥵 hopefully he’ll move soon as he’ll be to hot. We are supposed to be hot all next week to.  Hope your storms don’t last too long and you can soon go to the beach again. Love and hugs from across the pond 🌅xxx
