While that was happening I threw some laundry in the washer and when I'd finished on the phone hung it out in the sunshine.

I finally manage to get out about 1 o'clock, did a little shopping and visited the library to collect a book and finally got home at 4, where does the day go?

I'm thinking I may visit auntie tomorrow and have a cuppa with her, if she's at home. If not I could find plenty of housework or gardening to do...no that sounds like a very bad idea. lol

I spent half the morning sorting new car insurance. I had a letter from my old insurers but thought I'd best check if it would be cheaper elsewhere but finally decided to stay where I was. The only problem was they wanted me to do it on line and that would mean automatic renewal next year useless I could find a way to stop it. I found a phone number and spoke to a very helpful young lady and explained at my age I don't do on line, I like it all in a letter. Not only did she sort that but took just over $20 off my payment which I would have had with an on line payment.

I then had to sort out a banking debit I'd cancelled a month ago and had reset it to start at the end of last month, unfortunately it didn't go through and the company wanted to know what was going on. I finally managed to pay what was owed over the phone and set up another debit for the end of this month, let's hope it works this time.  I don't mind sorting these things but it's the amount of time spent pressing numbers to get to the person you need to speak to then being put on hold for 20 minutes while they chat to someone else!!
