I picked out another puzzle but its still in the box, it's called Eggs for Sale. I won't have time in the next couple of days as I'm seeing Sam tomorrow and Friday I'm out with my cousins.
I also had a call from my friend Sheila who tells me her son , who lives with her, has just tested positive for covid. At 86 she doesn't need that so I've said if she needs anything just to give me a call and I'll get it. She was concerned as I was with them Saturday and he thinks he got it at the airport when he came home from a holiday in Thailand 2 days before I was there. I said hopefully neither of us will get it and so far, so good.

Hi Janet, it's been a very windy day and feels much cooler than the 69 they say it is. We've also had a lot of rain and still my water butt is empty, I hope Alan can fix it next time he comes.  I went out this morning to get some 'magic sponges' for my friend Sheila as she couldn't get them her end of town. If you don't know what I mean they're a dense sponge to use with water to clean things like my cooker easily. Anyway I couldn't find them in the store so asked a very nice young women who took me to the shelf I'd just looked on and decided they were out of stock. I'll try again Friday they may have some more in.

I delivered the birthday card to John and then went to see auntie, we had a long chat sitting in her conservatory drinking tea while it poured with rain.
