I went to the charity shop to unload the bits and pieces from yesterday and when I got home looked on the back seat of the car and there was one shoe lying there, the other was at the shop so I had to go back as I didn't think they'd know too many people with one leg. The lady was really pleased as they were a nice pair of leather shoes which came from M&S.

I could have done some shopping but as I wasn't sure when the gardener was coming I thought it best to leave it until another time.

Carole is coming late tomorrow morning to do my hair. It doesn't seem very long since she was here but as she comes every 6 weeks it's obviously longer than I think. I'll see how I feel about going out after she's been.

Hope you're OK you've usually been on here by now but if you're out chasing Don's prescription I do understand.

Hi Janet, it's been the hottest day of the year here 77 but some places have had 95 which is unusual to say the least. Tomorrow they say it could go down to 65 with the winds coming from the east which I'll prefer.

I had breakfast with Dawn, we met up at 9:30 and came out of restaurant at nearly 12. We always have a lovely time and seem to have plenty to talk about. Tommy was on the agenda today as the gardener was going to be at Dawn's, so she gave him my number and when he was free he phoned and came and took him away. At first I was concerned as when Tommy saw him he hissed which is a sign of alarm. I asked him why Tommy didn't like him and he said it's not me it's my lawn mower, when he cuts the grass Tommy hides away. I don't know what his name is but he was so excited to be taking Tommy on, apparently he'd offered before but Wyn was reluctant to let him go. Well he's now in his permanent home and no doubt Dawn will let me know how he's doing.
