I've decided to have an early night as this sticky heat is a killer. I can put on my air con in the bedroom and will hopefully sleep OK, I pity people who don't have it. I just checked and it's 80f in my bungalow even with the windows open and without the AC I'd not get any sleep.

I'm so looking forward to the parcel like a kid in a sweet shop!

I called in at the store on my way home from the garage but forgot to get some milk, how could I, thank goodness I still have enough left for my cups of tea. lol After my parcel delivery I'll go and get a new supply.

Tomorrow I'm also going to tackle another box file of papers, I'm determined to get rid of all the old paperwork that's been cluttering up my house. They reckon one should keep the last 7 years of household bills and bank statements, why would I want to, I've never had to look for stuff more than 6 months old, no it's going to be shredded and if someone asks for anything over 2 years old I'll do my 'old lady' act and say I can't remember. Unlike you my income is taxed at source so I don't need to claim any tax relief it's done for me by the tax office in conjunction with my old employers.

Hi Janet it's been hot 74f [by our standards] and very sticky, 72% humidity, I find it exhausting and it gives me a headache so I don't want to do much. I took the car in for it's service and MOT [test which says it's safe to be driven on public roads]. I don't think you have such a thing in the states but they check everything from wiper blades to brakes.  Anyway it passed and now I can drive it for the next 12 months.

I've not had time to start a new puzzle in fact the Market Day one is still on my board but I'm hoping to select a new one tomorrow.

I've been chatting to Maggie this evening and she tells me her sister is poorly and seems very fragile since she came out of hospital. I'm going down to see her in 11 days so may do a small puzzle in the meantime then set up a wasjig to take with me. I've told her when she visits me next time she won't recognize the place with its new boiler and new conservatory roof!
