THE NEGLECTED FAIRY

Oh why do I sigh,
And moan, and cry
About how very much
Time goes by
When I don't pay attention
To my inner fay,
(I really don't want her
To fly away!)
So instead let me sit
And write some lines,
Hoping to get a poem
That really shines,
`Cause the fairy within me
Needs time for fun
Lest she get cranky
And come undone.
If I do a good job,
She'll soar to new heights
When I dust out the cobwebs
And turn on the lights;
Together we'll go
To a magical place
That will put a sweet grin
On her tiny face.
She will flutter her wings,
Sing some sparkling songs
In a place filled with magic,
Where she truly belongs!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends, enjoy your celebrations xx I slept like a log Annie and was rather late waking up!! Let's just say I missed lunch. I had to take a couole of heavy duty painkillers which probably knocked me out. It's grey and wet here, a really miserable day and mine is just about to get worse as I have to help mum with some important paperwork and that never goes well. Wish me luck!! Have a good afternoon xx
