The colours of bees attracted depend on the colours of petals on the honeyblossom plant, which in turn depend on the colours of bees that contributed honey to the hive the pot came from. So an all red flower attracts mainly red bees and occasionally orange bees. A plant with three orange petals and two red ones will attract more orange bees but still some red, and so on.
As you have only attracted red bees thus far, your goal right now is to get at least one orange bee spotted and into a hive. Then you'd finish filling that hive, harvest the honey to turn it into a pot, and plant a honeyblossom seed in that pot. That will give you slightly more attraction for orange bees. You'd then aim to get a hive with more orange bees again, and continue until you get an all orange hive. Then you can start attracting yellow bees, and repeat the process.
