I wonder if anyone knows why has Mike decided to have peacock as Libra critter? I have a couple of "theories" but in both the links are very tenuous. I can see the logic in all the other zodiac critters, but Libra peacock is a mystery to me.
Can anyone enlighten me?

It’s because libras are supposed to be somewhat vain or maybe self confident. I am a libra! I think it was the perfect choice! :)

I am also Libra and again, I think it's a somewhat tenuous link. And it would be the only choice of a critter based on a supposed personality stereotype of a sign which bothers me a bit. And btw, in my experience Leos tend to be much more vain than Libras, lol.

Libra is represented by scales, and I always assumed that the peacock was chosen simply because the feathers on its chest look like scales. I know they are different types of scales, but that's the only similarity I could come up with.

I doubt there's any inference as to character.

The only other thing I could think of (and it's a bit of a stretch) is the Libra rules 7th house of marriage and partnership and in Greek mythology Hera is goddess of marriage and family and one of her emblems is a peacock.

I’m sorry I hope I did not offend anyone! I only remember because I am a libra that when they were released way back when many Of us were joking on the forum about how perfect it was for the traits of the sign. I remembered that when I saw this post because it gave us all quite a good laugh. Hopefully I did not upset anyone. I never thought of the scales aspect before.

I pay no attention to the zodiac signs and I never even thought about anything except that it was a peacock! I live in the US and the peacock is also the sign for one of our major TV networks, so I see a peacock just about every day on TV. I am an Aries but I don't know what that means, either.
