Does anyone remember this cry? Not long after the gardens began in Fairyland, there were issues with people posting on other fairy walls. Fairyland was not independent of Facebook(or however the story goes) and if people visited many gardens and left many posts, Facebook would flag and issue warnings...as it suspected that those people were spammers. A friend worked for a newspaper at the time and she would report on the activities. This whole peaceful demonstration was called Up With Fairies. Mike worked furiously to make sure that we would have freedom of speech in his game. It was a marvellous union of developer and players. There was so much passion...and love.

WOW!  That must have been a long time ago as I sure don't remember it and I have been playing 9 1/2 years!

I don't remember that either, and I've been here for 10 1/2 years or so.  It must have been very shortly after the gardens were introduced.

It was about eleven years ago now. My first garden, the one that Facebook thought that I was spamming from...was disabled by Facebook because I had not heeded their warnings to not post so much. That garden would have been eleven this past February. The gardens did not come into being until after February some time...all that we could do then was make wishes. I appealed to Facebook to enable my account again as I was not a spammer. In the meantime, I made this account and started my fairy garden all over again. By the time that Facebook had made a decision on my first account...my new garden was at the same stage of growth as my old one so I de-activated the other account and carried on with this one. Let's just say that 'silent watering' back in the day was almost a safe bet. Since my new garden has an August birthday, it must have been resolved around about that time. I still managed to go through all the levels and be Number 365 who had reached the end of the rainbow.

How interesting!  Good old Failbook struck again.

Yes...it did. The thing was...everyone who visited a lot of people were affected unless you didn't make a post, just watered. And it was frustrating as heck to know how many posts might be too many. One did not want wilters as there was a penalty at that time if you did so unless you posted...people did not return and water. Mike worked hard to resolved this and the fairies banded together to spread the word. There mustn't have been the forums at that time?
