hello Julie nice to see her but as you say they forget was the same with my Auntie but we use to say to my mum remember when we did this and that and she would oh yes but she didnt have dementia just getting old and frail you cold put all old photo in her room they do remember way back unless it upsets her my sister DIL saw my mam once but didnt want to see her as she got got older and her children didnt so can understand about you grandaughter it can be upsetting x

hello Julie glad to hear that yes life is differant for us now got more time going out with my Sister and Daughter on Friday so that will be nice the probate should be completed in the next couple of wks so then the Bungalow will be sold and then my sister said the stress will go x

hello Julie i have no idea but thats what he said we were lucky my stepdad left enough to cover mams time in the home we were just about to put it on the market to sell when she died a few wks later x

hello Julie glad its on the way to be sold hopefully it will my cousin told me he had to sell his mums bungalow and in the end he had to pay social services £30000 back for his mums care we went to see her last  wednesday i know he is paying £7000 per mth for her car so when the money will run out i dont know x

thats lovely to hear .There was a lady in my mam home and she was always smiling we are going to see my auntie she as dementia her son says she hasent been to well lately and she slept most of the visitig last time he went we would have gone before but you cant do every thing with Mam in one and Auntie in another then your own home its a lot and we are all in our 70 now x

we got nursing allowance because she cougnt do anything for herself x

hello Julie it is yes we gid that paid for the funeral we also had a social worker come to see her and a i asked her if we could get anyhelp and she said yes we got nursing care money for her and attendance allowan but it went to the nursing home we didnt get it it was mams but at least it was something if you dont ask you dont know do you even if she was self funding she still got this
