Thanks Jane they lived in the second place you quoted. Very windy and cold here but no snow thank goodness, I pity Scotland at the moment, very heavy snow there xx

I have friends that used to live in an unpronounceable name starting with X near your part of the world sadly she had to go back to the UK as her husband had terminal cancer sad to say he passed away, but we see her quite often as she now lives in Bury St Edmunds, small world isn't it. As you say a day for staying in we are watching Peaky Blinders at the moment.

Woke up to high winds at 4 am not sure how much damage has been done, yes we are a few miles from Felixstowe and Great Yarmouth is not too far either, wouldn't try going to either in these winds as it is notorious for blowing people over this time of the year, glad you partly enjoyed your walk, we also like walking along Paphos Harbour, what part are you in?

Hi Jane that's lovely you and the dogs had a trip to the beach today , poor Bobby feeling the cold must be Teddys thick coat keeping her warm when she likes a dip in the sea brrr.. . nice you had a little picnic with you... feels like a lifetime ago sitting on the beach here in the summer its hard to imagine when its bitterly cold outside. good idea to have the warming soup for your tea when you got home nice comforting food. Have a lovely cosy evening Jane xx

Hi Jane yes it is a cruel disease. We are in a place called Stowmarket in Suffolk not far from family in Bury St. Edmunds. No snow yet I think it is more in Scotland and Northern Ireland but it may work its way down to us, hope not, been a bit windy but the sun has been out all day and it is quite cold, I look forward to coming back to Cyprus end of March, need my shorts on lol xx

Hi Jane, know how you feel I wish I had a magic wand to get Mum back to her old self, she was a real live wire all my children called her super Granny which makes this horrible illness all the worse, especially as my sister and other brother are in denial !!

Hi Jane, yes Mum is in a care home near to my brother Stuart (he turned up as he does every day) unfortunately she has Alzheimers and although she still knows us she needs full time care now, the carers there are lovely and make her smile, even if she gets grumpy with them. I hope your Dad enjoys his birthday in March xx
