I met a guy recently who grows his tomatoes under shade cloth, and boy does he have something goin' on!  His tomatoes grew in beautiful clusters and he would leave them on the vine longer because the shade cloth helped protect them from burning?   It was amazing and I might have to try it! 
I can't beleive that your marigolds were attacked.  They are supposed to repell everything I thought?   My tomatoes have gotten big enough that my poor marigolds are barely getting any sun....  but they seem OK with it. 
And anything over 100 is too hot for me to garden in!   That is "sip lemonade mixed with ice tea in the shade" kind of weather.

Pie contest isn't until the 21st.  I still have time to think about how to go about it....

I was JUST talking to Kicker about the pie.  I'll have to get up at 5am as it's a sort of complicated pie with a few different steps and cooking times.  I have to have it in Santa Ynez by 9:30am.  I must be incredibly stupid to be making this particular pie, but WHEN it turns out (it doesn't always) it is absolutely the best.  It's an almond custard covered with blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries with a crumb crust top.  Fantastic with vanilla ice cream!   

I'm OK.  I've been expericencing weird stuff so going in for yet another blood draw.  I don't think the infection is gone from how I feel?  And yet, I've had SEVEN cycles of antibiotics so I'm afraid I'm immune at this point......  oh well.  Oh we go.
I've entered a pie baking contest!!!!!   I've NEVER done competition baking or cooking before and I'm actually nervous?   WHY?  Just have fun!  I'm nervous.   Hahahahahaha!

I'm lounging under the ceiling fan.  My incisions hurt when I waer pants or shorts, so I look forward to just a long Tee shirt to give them a break.   LOL!  I suppose a nice sundress is in order but I don't own one. 
I love how ice helps with the aches and pains!  I have two ice packs in the freezer at all times! 
Making egg rolls for supper.  I made the dipping sauces already so it's a piece of cake.    :)
