I bet your daughter is happy to be finished her summer courses.  Now she can relax into summer!  So nice she is volunteering the pre-schoolers at Vacation Bible School.  That should be rewarding for her! 
I remember going to Sunday School regularly growing up but I went to a variety of summer camps.  Some put on by the Church, some by the YWCA and schools and there were other community organizations that put on summer camps for kids that I went to that my parents liked to support as well.  I liked them all--especially the science and artsy ones!
Time does seem to fly by though.  It's hard to believe how quickly our children grow from babyhood to maturity!
Hope you've enjoyed your week so far.  We've had some rain to cool down the heat to a nicer temperature so I've been out under my gazebo reading in the fresh air more.

I finished my second (and last) tortoise vase then finished the easy pottery lottery.  I don't like the look of my intermediate pottery lottery this month so I'm not doing it.  I was planning to go back to finish my second (and last) badger vase but I need a longer break from bouquet building.  Instead, I've launched into the Summer Mice and Mallard Challenge.  The pots do look better in gardens!
It's very hot and humid here so my Shelties and I are hanging out inside where it's cool with my Ragdoll cats.  My gardens are flourishing in spite of the heat and my shade plants are alive and settled in now under the mulch I spread.

Answering your message from 6 days ago lol... yes it's a lot of work for bouquet pot and not saving any rainforest sq ft... I wouldn't want to do pot after pot after pot either and so far I'm not interested in bouquets yet...

Nice that you treated yourself to a couple of new pots.  It's hard to resist buying them sometimes when they catch your eye! As you know,  pots are a weakness of mine!
I'm still plodding along with the bouquets...  I'm on my last tortoise vase now.  I'll take a break and do  the pottery lottery before I go back to finishing my last badger vase.  I hope they don't reveal a new bouquet challenge anytime soon.
It's pouring rain here so hard my dogs didn't want to go outside to relieve themselves this morning!  Looks like a home day for me.

Ya, I'm not into fireworks either.  There's a group here trying to ban traditional fireworks and adopt virtual firework displays in their stead.  I can't see that happening anytime soon (or ever) but it would be a lot more peaceful for trauma people, infants and young children, wildlife, and fearful pets.  I'd like to see it happen.
My brother came over this morning for a coffee and to let me use his lawnmower to cut my grass.  My daughter did finally get hers fixed under warranty and will be returning mine when she comes over for her birthday BBQ on the 15th.  A bit of a lawnmower shuffle but it all worked out.
Nothing special happening here this weekend.  Just planning to putter in my garden and sit out under my gazebo with a book while my dogs play in the yard.
