3. I'm not finding a lot of time (or enthusiasm to be honest) for Fairyland just now. I'm not even doing any pottery quests for April. I'm not that fussy for the pots & I really can't be bothered. Alan & Laura have split up, he has moved in with his mother meantime & Laura is going to buy him out of the house. She will be a very wealthy young woman one day. She has already come into one inheritance from an Uncle & is waiting for the Solicitors to sort out another inheritance from an Aunt. Her parents are in their mid 80s & that will be another big inheritance one day. We were visiting yesterday with the girls Easter presents & nothing felt any different but she didn't talk about the split at all. Both girls were there so we didn't ask anything but Alan said it was her decision, not what he wanted. He is here with the girls on Saturday as he is coming to help Colin take down a big birch tree which is leaning towards Alison's house for Elizabeth. We will get the wood for the log burner. I have a night out in the Legion on Saturday night with some of the line dancing girls - a country night with some line dancing. I can't think of any other news so will go & get the dogs out now. Byeeee xx

2. I haven't seen the Book of Mormon or heard of it coming up here. Glad to hear Joan is improving. That must make a big difference to her mobility. What a shame about Emmas cat - it's quite a responsibility when you're looking after someone else's cat who is poorly. I can't believe Charlie will be finished his first year next month! Mind you I feel the Uni courses should be continual with regular breaks for holidays but not 4 months break in the summer. Students could finish in 3 years instead of 4 if they had less holidays. If I had the amount of holidays uni students get it would have taken me 5 years to finish my nursing course :-D  I'm sure Charlie is looking forward to his trip to Canada. Is he just visiting or working there? One of Colin's nieces was there for almost 2 years. She worked while travelling but is now doing nursing in Glasgow. Maureen is not getting on well after her knee replacement. She is very sore & says it's getting worse rather than better. It's now 3 weeks & 3 days since her op & she wishes she hadn't had it done. She got more opiates (Oxycodone) from her GP but, although I know it's a brutal surgery I really don't feel she should still be needing analgesia that strong now. One of Colins driving colleagues had his knee done 7 days after Maureen & is only on Paracetamol x

Hi Linda, I had a lovely break away thanks. Busy but nice. We had a spa day on Friday at Centre Parcs Woburn which was very nice - an Elemis facial & a back massage plus 25 different experience rooms to relax in. We got a lovely sunny day in London itself on Saturday....did the London Eye, hop on hop off bus tour which did Buckingham Palace, St Pauls Cathedral, Trafalgar Square (we didn't have enough time to get off at every stop for photos as Jacquelyn had our day planned out), a river cruise, an hour in Covent Garden, afternoon tea & then the theatre. I enjoyed the show. They had very powerful voices which were clear above the music. Sometimes in Eden Court Theatre here I feel the music is too loud for the singer & you can't make out the words. We are spoiled for seating here though as the seats are all staggered as well as being on a slope so you get a good view of the stage wherever you sit & regardless of who is in front of you. We were in the Dominion Theatre - a lovely old fashioned place - and our seats were fine but I had to keep moving my head from side to side as the Japanese girl in front of me kept moving (probably because the person in front of her was doing the same) & I was very conscious of whoever was sitting behind me. That doesn't happen in Eden Court. Then we went to Bicester Village which is a designer outlet. I did buy a pizza cutter for Colin (last of the big spenders) & a big Neom candle for Jacquelyn but nothing for myself xx

3. My friend in Aberdeenshire is coming to the NTC here to get a knee replacement. Her surgery was scheduled for 26th March but she got a cancellation for tomorrow. So, as well as having Thomas & Granny on Tuesday I will need to make time to visit Maureen as well. I'm going up to Inverness shortly with Karen's Mothers Day present which is just flowers & a voucher for afternoon tea. I have already booked it for the 3 of us on Tuesday 7th April. Colin is working today. She was going to Iain & Catriona's after church for a "fry up" but I'm guessing she'll be home by 5pm. Hope you are being spoiled & having a nice Mothers Day today :-)

2. It was 2 full weeks before he felt fully back to normal & they've told him if it happens again to take his Sumatriptan immediately which will hopefully help (as it does in a "normal" migraine) His migraines have been much less frequent & much less severe as he's got older but the specialist said the symptoms can change with age. I am off to stay with Jacquelyn in Towcester for a few days on Thursday. She has a full itinerary planned, a spa day at Aqua Sana Forest Spa, a day in London with hop on hop off bus tour, river cruise on the Thames, Paddington themed afternoon tea, theatre to see The Devil wears Prada, plus shopping which may be in Milton Keynes the following day, I'm not sure. I'm looking forward to & hope it will at least be dry. I'm away for 4 days so I will freeze my garden before I go, maybe even Tuesday or Wednesday as I'm busy these days. I've never been fussy for the Easter chicks/seahorses etc & have no inclination to build new easter themed pots that I will probably never use! I do need to spot a Pegasus & an albino of some sort to finish my intermediate quest though x

Hi Linda, no worries. I know you are busy with Joan. Glad to hear her mobility is better now. We are both fine. Colin had a turn in Tesco almost 3 weeks ago. We had been to his Mums, came home about 9pm, he took the dogs out & then went to Tesco for some big storage boxes. He phoned me to say his right hand/arm was numb with pins & needles and although he could move it he couldn't coordinate his fingers. His speech sounded a little "off" on the phone so I told him to get a member of staff & I would come in. Yvonne took me in by which time the duty manager had phoned an ambulance. I thought stroke (although he hadn't lost power) or TIA. He couldn't remember the girls names & when I told him he couldn't say Ellie - he was saying Ollie, Laurie, Lolly. Tables were cherbles. They did a CT of his head which was ok but they gave him Aspirin & Clopidogrel anyway. Then the same thing happened to his left hand/arm & also his face and mouth so they decided it was migraine aura but kept him in overnight & did an MRI the following day. Then he saw the Stroke Doctor who agreed with the diagnosis. His migraines always start with flashing lights & this was completely different x
