4 Oh, just noticed post number 2 was too long! I should have made it shorter but the missing bit at the end only said that if I close my right eye the left one is a bit blurry and if both my eyes were like that I wouldn't drive & I would definitely want treatment but as it is just now I feel I can see fine. One eye is short sighted now and the other is long sighted and I feel one must compensate for the other as I don't really feel any noticeable difference xx

3. Yvonne & I are going to stay with Jacquelyn in Towcester for a few days. Jacquelyn has organised everything, flights from Inverness to Luton where she will pick us up, a spa day at Aqua Sana Forest Spa with lunch, an Elemis facial & a back neck and shoulder massage. Then a day in London, a tour on the hop on hop off bus, a River Thames cruise/tour, a Paddington themed afternoon tea somewhere and then The Devil wears Prada at the theatre. Then the last day is girly shopping and lunch before our flight home. I am so looking forward to it. That's 19th - 22nd March. Are you still working on the extreme quest? I have done the intermediate one twice and I think I'm on the easy one for the 10th time. I do like the pot for the advanced one but couldn't summon up any enthusiasm for hunting/attracting a Crane chick. Time to take the dogs out now. Catch up again soon xx

2. You will be looking forward to having Charlie home again for a few days and it won't be too long until the Easter holidays. I have a family planner calendar that hangs on the wall in the kitchen. There are 5 columns, one for Colin's shifts, one for his appointments, one for my appointments, one for birthdays & anniversaries plus a spare. I don't know what I'd do without it. I suppose a lot of people have these things on their mobile phones & get reminders but I like looking at the calendar and seeing it all in black & white. We've both been at the optician & the dentist in the last fortnight, I was at the hairdresser last Tuesday and I'm getting my feet done on Wednesday, plus Colin had a Gastroscopy and an ultrasound scan so I'd be utterly lost without that planner. I even have the different coloured bins written on it so I don't put the wrong one out. Lol 😆 How is your glaucoma now? Did you ever get seen at the other hospital/clinic or did you decide to stick with the one you're going to already? Hi Linda, no worries. I know you are a busy lady. I'm lazy today and am sitting with a nice cosy cat on my lap whilst getting caught up here. Poor Joan....it can't be easy getting older & more infirm but she's lucky you are so attentive. I take it the NHS or the council don't pay for stairlifts? They're very expensive but I suppose if it keeps you in your own home for longer & means you don't have to go into a nursing home it's worth it. A friend's mother had a stroke years ago & got an adjustable hospital bed, a wheelchair & a hoist on the ceiling for transferring her and she didn't have to pay for any of it. Mum also got a folding wheelchair from the OT which we used to take her out in. Is Joan having to pay for that too? Do you think the swelling is getting worse? I hope you had a nice time with Emma and the girls. If they're anything like Ellie & Beth they will have a full social calendar at 9 & 11! Actually Beth will be 10 on Sunday & Ellie will be 12 on 6th March. I don't know where the time goes! x

2. Well done on finishing the vases. I boobed with one of my cuckoo chick vases. It was in the GH with an ice flower in it. I clicked (on my phone at the time) to put it in the garden and it disappeared. Apparently you can discard vases direct from the GH so I lost it. I emailed support but they can't replace buildable items like the gold vases, snowmen etc. I'm glad now I did 2 of each chick vase so at least I still have 1 but it's so disappointing after all the time, work & gold spent on it. I'm not doing another one. I suggested that perhaps they could remove the ability to chuck out vases from the GH - you can't do it from storage & I don't see the need for it in the GH. I actually quite enjoyed the chameleons. You're brave doing the advanced quest. I did it last month & I do like the pot for this month but the thought of hunting a crane chick was not at all appealing so I'm sticking with easy & intermediate. We have Thomas tomorrow & Colin's Mum as well. I also have a friend coming to stay for 3 or 4 days so won't be here much but I've decided not to freeze my garden. I'm waiting for my Ventus to get RFH to attract a Leopard to complete the intermediate quest. Hope everything

Hi Linda, please don't fret about not replying sooner. It sometimes takes me a few days to find the time to message. I hope you had a lovely day for the girls special birthday. Time flies doesn't it?! Not good news about poor Joan. Talk about it not raining but pouring. It's just been one thing after another. I assume her blood test of 50 is the HBA1c test which gives a good idea of what the blood sugars have been running along at over a period of time. They used to say anything over 42 was high but things change all the time so it could be 48 now. The pinprick test that tells you what your blood sugar is right now - Joans was 6.8 - normal in the ward for us for a non diabetic would be 4 -6 but I suppose it depends on the time of day & what foods have been eaten before the test was done. It's sad when someone gets to the stage that they're struggling with stairs etc in their own home. Thank goodness we're in a bungalow! x
