The stew does smell good. I'm looking forward to a bowl for dinner. Boy it sounds like you are getting the snow storm. It's mid 40's here and cloudy. Sounds like we are going to be dry for a week. Glad you didn't risk taking the bin out. Falling would not be a good thing. Maple woke me up at 3am. She wanted to get off the bed & get in her dog bed. So after that I couldn't go back to sleep. I'm tired. I got the poinsettias traced and I think I'm going to paint one pink, one white & one red. We will see how it goes. It's going to take awhile because it's full size picture. I’ve just seen on the news about the storm that’s coming. Think it’s starting in the south & heading towards you 1st.
Christmas was ok. We went away for the week in a really lovely cottage & then everyone except me came down with a tummy bug like you. It must me doing the rounds.
You are right the New Year was really difficult for me.
I still do first footing at home & at work.
Sorry you had the bug also. At least you didn’t miss out on your dinner.
I looked at buying a patchwork quilt but it was really expensive & I wouldn’t be able to make my own. They look so cosy x

It is. They were watching the first of the snow.
Luckily it’s rained today & it’s all gone. I really don’t like it.

I just have to take minutes of the meetings that's all. LOL They were having a hard time finding someone so I volunteered. The garbage issue would be a challenge. I would have to put garbage in my car & take it to the dump, which is about 30 miles away. That wouldn't be  a great situation. Those calming diffusers don't work. I've tried them for the cats. Maple was better last night. The fireworks were definitely illegal because they were the big bomb stuff & probably gunshots. I hope you find the last blue jay soon Kathy! I just took down the Christmas tree and now I'm going to make some breakfast. We are just going to get rain & more wind so far, but this is just the first of January hard to tell what will come weather wise later. Sending you hugs XX

Let me know if you want me to set up for blue jays. I can do that. I had my first board meeting  as secretary for the master gardener group  and I did the minutes last night. 😉😉 I was tired because Maple hasn't slept well since all the fireworks on New Years Eve. Plus we had more wind last night. It didn't last long fortunately. Boy I can relate to cleaning out cupboards and then having one thing after another break down. Lately there's been a lot of that here at my house too. LOL Sometimes just shutting the door and walking away is a good thing. 🥰🥰 Is your weather improving at all? Sending you hugs XX
